The Upcoming Travel ( Momimhar posted on November 23rd, 2012 )

Vacation time is fast approaching.  I am getting anxious to board the plane bound to the Philippines yet still worried if we got all the things needed for the upcoming travel.  We are still in the look-out for a carry-on travel luggage for our darling daughter because I know that traveling with a toddler is going to be a big challenge to me and my husband.  We haven’t seen any terrible two attitude yet.  We’ll see.  Hopefully our darling daughter will behave throughout the trip.

This will be our daughter’s first vacation to the Philippines.  My side of the family is excited to meet our little girl.  It’s gonna be an adventure for her too because she will be flying on planes, riding on tricycles, and getting on the buses.  I know that she will enjoy meeting her cousins, aunts, and uncle too.  On the other hand, communication between them might become a little awkward because my parents don’t know how to speak English.  My siblings, niece, and nephews speak a little.  But that’s alright.  Everything will be fine.

We’ll be shopping for the luggage in a few days.  And we are looking forward to find one that is durable, affordable, and adorable. 🙂

Got A Seat Of Her Own ( Momimhar posted on November 22nd, 2012 )

Traveling with a toddler for the very first time needs lots of preparation.  Gladly my husband bought  three air tickets so our little girl will have a seat of her own.  Turning two years old, there is no way we can let her sit on our laps the whole flight.

Providing the toddlers their own seats on the plane can help in many ways.  One is that, they can lay down to sleep and have their space to play and be entertained.  We do not have to worry about disturbing other passengers because international planes have three seats in one row.  Even though we pay a big price for the tickets, I guess it’s worth it when traveling with a child.

Affordable And Light ( Momimhar posted on November 22nd, 2012 )

Thanksgiving Day is the time when family gets together mainly giving thanks to all the blessings received the whole year through.  To me it is also a celebration of delicious food including turkey, dressing, sauerkraut, green beans casserole, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, ham, and the like.

Today, our family is celebrating Thanksgiving Day here at my husband’s parents’ house.  Everyone in my husband’s family is here to join the family’s traditional dinner.  My toddler is enjoying the company of her aunts, uncles, and cousins, too.  We are blessed with a beautiful weather so the kids are playing outside most of the time.

As I was sending my greetings to my friends on Facebook who are residing in the US, one of them is also going to the Philippines for a vacation.  She’s asking me if I already bought some homecoming gifts.  I told her I am not 100% done yet.  There are still some knick-knacks that I have to buy for my other cousins back home.  My friend suggested that if I’d like to buy some accessories for them, I should buy them online to save time and money.  Fashion jewelry such as necklaces, handmade bracelets, and earrings like feather earrings are mostly likely affordable and very light to be placed in the luggage.  In addition, my girl cousins love to accessorize so they would be happy to received such things.  Well, that made me think.

On the other hand, everyone is having a great time as usual.  We celebrate Thanksgiving with joy and a grateful heart.  For God is always providing each and everyone blessings every day.
