Baby Shower Party Of Purple And Pink ( Momimhar posted on November 17th, 2012 )

It’s a pleasant day to day for a party.  My friends and I have thrown a surprise Baby Shower Party to our expectant mom friend.  As you know my friends love throwing parties especially for our preggy friends.  The color theme this time is pink and purple.  All the party decor are in shades of pink and purple.  Our outfit has to be in either color.  I thought the color theme is cute.  The hosts worked really hard for this party.  You can see at the photos below how beautiful it was.

Nope, I’m not pregnant. It’s a balloon in my jacket. 🙂

As usual, everyone had a wonderful time at the party this afternoon.  There were great games and I was one of the winners.  ‘Love the girls.

Congratulations to RG and hubby.  We can’t wait to see your new baby.

Baptism For Our Little Girl ( Momimhar posted on November 16th, 2012 )

After she was born, my husband and I haven’t talked much about having our daughter baptized until a week ago.  We somewhat disagree on something.  He didn’t like the idea of the sitting arrangement at my church in worship services.  And we both do not want her to be baptized in the other church either.

So just recently I told him we should schedule a baptism for our little girl before she turns 2.  I was very firm about it.  He agreed with me he asked his parents if they will be able to come over on Sunday for Kaye’s baptism.  Gladly we were able to get two sponsors.

I don’t need to buy a new dress for Kaye because she received a formal dress from a friend on her 1st birthday last year.  What’s great about it is that the color just suits for the occasion.  For the shoes, I already bought a pair of Stride Rite Mary Jane shoes.

I am happy that, finally, Kaye will have her baptism this coming Sunday.

A Pregnancy Guide That Helps ( Momimhar posted on November 15th, 2012 )

When I was done editing the new set of pictures to be sent to my family thru email, I looked at infant photos of my darling daughter.  It really touched my heart seeing her newborn and infant photos where I captured every milestones.

I also looked at my photos when I was pregnant.  The first trimester was not that hard for me.  I did not get morning sickness like some pregnant women get all the time.  Well, maybe I had nausea for a day or two but that was it.  Besides doctor’s advice and recommendations plus family and friends’ inspiring help, I had What To Expect When You’re Expecting book – a pregnancy guide book that helps expectant mothers along pregnancy.  This book has helpful guides in every chapter as what pregnant women have to deal with during pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a delicate situation.  And expectant mothers have to take care of themselves.  The book also have suggestions on how to maintain a healthy pregnancy.  I had complications when I was pregnant.  Reading the pregnancy guide book has helped me understand how a woman’s body goes thru a lot of changes during pregnancy.  And these changes sometimes lead to complications and depression.  To me, a well-guided pregnancy and strong support system (family and friends) can prevent depression.  What To Expect When You’re Expecting is a book that I highly recommend as reading material to expectant mothers out there.  And that includes my sister-in-law, Jennifer. 🙂

Oh how time flies by so fast.  My daughter is turning two.  My newborn is now a toddler and growing fast and smart.  So proud of her.
