At The Luncheon ( Momimhar posted on June 7th, 2012 )

The luncheon went well this afternoon.  The  guests arrived on time and everyone was very excited about the get-together honoring the bride.  It is the first time I heard about treating the bride and her bridesmaids to a dinner.  I thought it’s all in the bridal shower party.  But anyway, the bride was very appreciative with the special treatment the family is giving her.

Party room at Chocolate Angel in Richardson

This is a part of the party room in Chocolate Angel.  The place is not big but can accommodate about 20 people.  My daughter did not want to stay long inside.  She wants to go out of the room and play outside.  When it was time for lunch, I let her sit on a high chair because she is not ready for the grown up chair yet.

Playing with the rain water on the table

My sweet little girl likes playing with water.  She found a playmate outside the cafe.  They were stomping their feet on the wet wooden floor.  Then they were wiping the rain water off the table.  I was not able to help my in-laws with the party decor because my baby girl kept running outside.

This is the sign inside the Chocolate Angel Cafe.  My daughter was reaching for it and she would like to grab those candles too.  I kept my eyes on her all the time during the party because I didn’t want her to cause any trouble.  I want her to be safe always.

Thursday Morning ( Momimhar posted on June 7th, 2012 )

So I wake up very early today (8 A.M. to me is very early) so we can get ready for the luncheon.  My sister-in-law and mom woke up at 7.  Baby usually wakes up at 10 A.M. but whenever we have company, especially if grandparents are here, my baby wakes up earlier than that.

My todder’s getting up in the morning has been very consistent since she began sleeping through the night when she was three months old.  The 12-hour sleep seems pretty good.  Teething discomfort is kind of endurable now.  Teething gel helps to ease the discomfort so baby is not waking up in the middle of the night.  We keep the routine of having at least a nap a day.

And so, this morning we are busy minding our own business.  Grandma is done with her hair and just dressing up.  Sister-in-law is done with her make-up and she is taking care of her daughter then they will get dressed in a little while.  Coffee is ready.  Mom just wanted to have two toasts.  Sister-in-law got some cereal for her daughter.  I will be taking my shower soon before baby wakes up.  But before that, I will finish putting her baby foods in the diaper bag.

A Great Way To Start Your Day ( Momimhar posted on June 7th, 2012 )

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Quaker Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of the most precious moments my baby and I have everyday is when we eat meals together. I consider it as mommy and baby bonding too. It is when I am able to teach her good table manners and encourage her to use spoon and fork, drink from a plastic cup by herself, and eat vegetables. Of course like everything else, feeding a toddler requires lots and lots of patience.

There are mornings that I wake up before my daughter does. I heat up coffee and prepare her milk. Then after that, we eat breakfast together. I give her either fruits or peanut butter (or cheese) sandwich. I am used to eating light breakfast. Either I will have breakfast snack or brunch. I believe that having breakfast in the morning helps you get through the day. One of my favorite breakfast snack is Quaker Soft Baked Bar. Besides their oatmeal product, it also gives the nutrients our body needs. Though my husband does not eat breakfast (except if he is on vacation), surely he takes snack bars to work to nibble in the middle of the day. Quaker Soft Baked Bar comes in two flavors, Banana Nut and Cinnamon Pecan. But our favorite is Banana Nut.

It is very important to let the family make it a habit to eat wholesome food. And never to skip breakfast.
