Learning Toys at the Bookstore ( Momimhar posted on March 16th, 2017 )

It’s been a while since we gone out to the mall.  My daughter thought of going to Firewheel Town Center today since it’s her Spring Break. She wanted to go to Barnes & Noble Bookstore. Besides children’s books, she also finds nice learning tools and kids’ toys there.

Pretend Credit Cards ( Momimhar posted on February 1st, 2017 )

While cleaning my purse I found two old and empty prepaid debit cards.  I gave them to K because she likes playing shopping with those.

Then she said. “Mom.  What if I have two credit cards with two thousand dollars in both of them?”

I said, “You can take me on a vacation somewhere.”

New Playground Equipment at The Park ( Momimhar posted on February 26th, 2016 )

New playground equipment.

New playground equipment.

We cannot wait for this new playground equipment to be installed completely at the Olde City Park in Wylie. It is about time to have the old ones replaced since they were old and damaged already.  They were putting more slides, I can see. Spring is just around the corner and hopefully the play park will reopen very soon.

I am looking forward to this year’s social events in the town.  One of my favorite event is the City Night Out.  There are so many vendors and fun stuff for the kids.  Also, the fireworks display is awesome.

Melissa & Doug Louie Lobster Claw Catcher Bath Toy Was Picked Up After Two Months ( Momimhar posted on February 18th, 2016 )

Today’s the day I finalized the schedule of pick up of a kids’ bath toy I ordered online two months ago.  Yes I ordered the Melissa & Doug Louie Lobster Claw Catcher bath toy in December because it’s supposed to be a Christmas gift to my niece but for some reason, I didn’t receive a pick up notice from the department store.  The email sent to me was still in the “Processing” status and there was no update of some sort.  I was very disappointed and confused.

Because I got very busy as Christmas was approaching, I wasn’t able to pick up the item.  I called the online store’s customer service for a refund but the staff told me that the item was already in the store ready for pick up.  I told him that I didn’t receive any pick up notice from the store that’s why I was asking for help.

So anyway, my darling daughter and I picked up the bath toy today at Sears in Frisco (Texas).  Now it’s in my daughter’s bathroom.  I’ll just have to find another toy for my niece to bring with us on our flight to the Philippines next month.

Toddler Stage: Running Around And Playing Happily ( Momimhar posted on February 16th, 2016 )

K: “Mommy, I’m running away from my shadow.”

My darling daughter is playing in the living room.  All toys are scattered here and there.  She has a small table and two toddler chairs for her Pre-K activities and arts and crafts.  On the floor are three toy storage bins for her animal toy figures, toy vehicles, and Little Pet Shop figures.  She makes homes for all the figures and pretends the living room is a big city.  My daughter is playing happily-humming and singing while Peppa Pig show is in the background.  Then after that, she was running around saying she is running away from her shadow.  Aw…what a cute little thing. 🙂
