Baltic Amber Teething Necklace For Infants
I wish I learned about this Baltic Amber Teething Necklace five years ago. I just found out about it when one of my friends who had a new baby few months ago bought one of these for her little girl. It says it soothes an infant’s teething discomfort just by wearing the necklace or wearing it as a bracelet. The natural succinic acid contained on the amber helps sooth the discomfort of teething. But how?
I thought the baby has to stick the necklace in the mouth like the other teethers to sooth the swelling gums, but NO. Silly me. It doesn’t work like that. The amber works wonders, I think. Any how, this is an ideal gift for Christening and souvenir, too.
Remember that using this product should be under adult supervision. Never let baby sleep with this necklace on.
How about you? Did you or someone you know have used or are using Baltic Amber Teething Necklace for their teething babies?

My cousin and her family came over to see us on Sunday to talk about the pick up arrangements at the airport. As you may know, they are leaving next Monday for the Philippines to see her family and to have a family vacation. They are flying together with her sister and niece who live in Oregon. The visit wasn’t that long so the little girls were like, “Awww…! We want to play still.” They were planning to dress up that day. But we promised cousin Audrey will come over for a play time and dress up the next day.
So she came back and Kaye was very happy to see her again. As promised, I let them play dress up. They wanted to be like a Disney Princess so I let them pick gowns. Kaye wants to wear Princess Aurora’s gown. And Audrey wants to wear Belle’s gown. The girls had a great time playing together with the dollhouse I bought for $15. They looked really pretty.
Playing Dress Up with Audrey. DD is Princess Aurora and Audrey is Princess Belle.
Kaye and Audrey love being with each other. Though a conflict on something like sharing arises, and Kaye gets upset most of the time, they makeup and be friends again after a little while. I guess it is a part of their development as toddlers. Parents like me shall always stay calm and patient.
As we were getting ready to go to a play date at my cousin’s house today, my darling daughter saw a pen and a paper on daddy’s work table. She started to draw and scribble. After a little while, she told me that she will write a letter to daddy. And here it goes (as exactly as I heard it):
If you want to talk to mommy, you better ask the girl.
If you want to have some lunch, you better call the restaurant. If you want to.
If you see the girl outside, you better save her. You become the super hero.
I was very amused with my little darling. I complimented her big time. She has a big imagination and knows how to compose her own stories. She enjoys reading books and doesn’t want to skip a bedtime story. I told my husband about her letter and he chuckled. He thought it’s cute and funny.
Manicure and pedicure time. 🙂
When we got to my cousin’s house, the little Alexis and pretty Audrey were very glad to see Kaye. They read books, played hide-and-go-seek, tag you’re it, and dress up, of course. Then they had a manicure and pedicure session. At a very young age, these cuties love to do their nails. Oh, girls! 🙂
Kaye goes to potty! Yes my darling daughter is already potty trained. But not by me. She just asked me one day that she wants to go to the bathroom. Oh, I remember! We were visiting her grandparents two weeks ago and while we were there, she asked me “Mommy, can I go potty?”. What a good girl! I was so happy about this. I gave her lots of compliments for reaching this big milestone. My mother-in-law was so proud. We are all proud our little princess!
You see, I tried potty training DD when she was 2 1/2 years old. The potty training didn’t succeed that time because or maybe she wasn’t ready yet. The problem was, she got constipation. I was very worried about my little one those times because she started screaming in pain when she wants to go. My husband thought she’s having urinary problems. So I took her to her pediatrician immediately. The doctor gave DD a check-up and she assured me that everything’s well except for the constipation. The first thing the pediatrician asked me was if I started potty training her. I told the doctor that I tried doing so the week before DD got the bowel movement problem. The doctor explained to me that another reason for constipation in toddlers is potty training because they are still hesitant to go and they try to hold it. The best thing to do is to encourage them to go to the bathroom when it’s time. And give them compliments when they do. After the visit to the pediatrician, I stopped the potty training.
I remember one of my girl friends told me that her little girl started going to the potty when she was about to turn 3. She also said to just wait and not to force my child if she is not ready for potty training yet. Potty training will come naturally when she knows that she’s ready. And so, I waited patiently for that moment and yes! She did it! At her Na-na and Paw-Paw’s house, DD asked me to take her to the bathroom because she wants to go potty. Hurray! We’re so proud of our sweet princess.
So proud of her!
As a first time mom, I had no idea how would I be able to handle being a mother or something. I don’t have my family with me to help me with cooking, cleaning and tidying up the house, and assisting with little things like changing baby’s diaper or doing the laundry. I was in the recovery period for months because I had my thru C-section. Though my cousin lives about ten miles from my house, I couldn’t ask her for a help because she also had a newborn a month older than mine. But with my dear husband’s support and understanding, I was able to recover fast.
One of the challenges I encountered as a mom was the difficulty in putting my baby to sleep when she was in infant stage. Putting our baby to sleep is easy if we know the trick. We have different approach on lulling our little ones to sleep. Maybe some of the first time moms like me had difficulties.
During my baby’s infancy, her sleeping habits changed. Sometimes she goes to sleep easily when I put her in her crib after reading a storybook. Then it came to the point where she wants to sleep in my arms while rocking on the rocking chair. Up to now in toddler stage, she won’t go to bed if I don’t snuggle with her.
She is still full of energy in the evening. So I followed a recommendation that playing a calming music like lullabies help toddlers and babies settle down. Because of the soothing melodies, they start to feel drowsy. I found a compilation of lullaby songs and music online. I love this lullaby album. So calming that helps put my little one to sleep. Also, letting our little ones listen to soothing music helps with brain development.
Another reason why I liked this album because it has one my all-time favorite music Adagio by Ludwig Van Beethoven. It touched my heart the moment I heard it for the first time. I bookmarked this album so I can access it any time.
