Fascinated With The Two Princesses Of Disney’s Frozen ( Momimhar posted on July 12th, 2014 )

The Disney movie Frozen was a hit and children have been very fascinated with its characters – Princess Elsa, Princess Anna, Olaf the snowman, and Kristoff.  My little girl loves the two princesses.  She even wanted to have the dress up gowns.  How I wish I can buy her the gowns for dress up.  Right now they are still kind of pricey.  But I am keeping my eyes open for good deals.

Yesterday, we visited my friend F.  It’s the regular play date for our kids.  I didn’t know that my friend prepared a big lunch for everybody because besides me and darling daughter, our two other girl friends came over.  In addition, I was also meeting someone at her house to discuss an employment opportunity for me.  That person happens to be my friend’s new friend.  🙂

Anyway, our kids enjoyed playing at their outdoor playground set.  When it got very hot outside, they ran into the house and sang karaoke.  It was nice that F and her husband have a karaoke system with songs downloaded in it.  They have Disney’s Frozen soundtrack downloaded in the system.  Man, the girls were like having a concert yesterday.  🙂

Playing Dress Up – Disney Princess ( Momimhar posted on January 28th, 2014 )

My cousin and her family came over to see us on Sunday to talk about the pick up arrangements at the airport.  As you may know, they are leaving next Monday for the Philippines to see her family and to have a family vacation.   They are flying together with her sister and niece who live in Oregon.  The visit wasn’t that long so the little girls were like, “Awww…!  We want to play still.”  They were planning to dress up that day.  But we promised cousin Audrey will come over for a play time and dress up the next day.

So she came back and Kaye was very happy to see her again.  As promised, I let them play dress up.  They wanted to be like a Disney Princess so I let them pick gowns.  Kaye wants to wear Princess Aurora’s gown.  And Audrey wants to wear Belle’s gown.  The girls had a great time playing together with the dollhouse I bought for $15.  They looked really pretty.

Kaye and Audrey love being with each other.  Though a conflict on something like sharing arises, and Kaye gets upset most of the time, they makeup and be friends again after a little while.  I guess it is a part of their development as toddlers.  Parents like me shall always stay calm and patient.

A Letter To Daddy And Nail Polishing ( Momimhar posted on January 26th, 2014 )

As we were getting ready to go to a play date at my cousin’s house today, my darling daughter saw a pen and a paper on daddy’s work table.  She started to draw and scribble.  After a little while, she told me that she will write a letter to daddy. And here it goes (as exactly as I heard it):

Dear daddy,

If you want to talk to mommy, you better ask the girl.

If you want to have some lunch, you better call the restaurant.  If you want to.

If you see the girl outside, you better save her.  You become the super hero.

I was very amused with my little darling.  I complimented her big time.  She has a big imagination and knows how to compose her own stories.  She enjoys reading books and doesn’t want to skip a bedtime story.  I told my husband about her letter and he chuckled.  He thought it’s cute and funny.

Manicure and pedicure time. :)

When we got to my cousin’s house, the little Alexis and pretty Audrey were very glad to see Kaye.  They read books, played hide-and-go-seek, tag you’re it, and dress up, of course.  Then they had a manicure and pedicure session.  At a very young age, these cuties love to do their nails.  Oh, girls!  🙂
