Organically Improve Your Garden ( Momimhar posted on April 30th, 2012 )

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Whitney Farms for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As usual, I am very excited to get our vegetable and flower gardens started next weekend. My husband will be tilling the soil where the garden is located in the backyard one of these days so we can start planning on what vegetables to plant. Tilling the soil is a good way to do so the dirt will hold water and moisture at a good rate.

The reasons why we like having a vegetable garden is that:

1. we would like to, at least, save money commonly used veggies like tomatoes and bell peppers

2. we like fresh veggies

3. like any other hobbies, we enjoy gardening so much

I want to grow veggies like this again. What worry us now is the heat. We heard that it's gonna be drought again so we want our garden to be well taken care of as much as possible. We do not want to spend lots of money on fertilizers. So the idea of using organic plant food would be great. Eventually, Whitney Farms® has the improved products that will help our garden vegetables become more productive.

Baby’s Second Trip To Oklahoma ( Momimhar posted on April 29th, 2012 )

It was kinda frustrating that we’re not able to splash in the water at the hotel resort’s swimming pool last weekend in Oklahoma.  I was excited to bring our swimwear and her Dora swimsuit.  But the chilly breeze stopped us from soaking in the pool.  We did not want to catch a cold so we were satisfied with the morning and afternoon walks at the hotel’s outdoor flower garden.

In the hotel, baby was fascinated playing with the sliding mirrors of the closet.  I think she thought about the elevator because when we go to the mall, we always take the elevators.  My little princess had a lot of fun with that-getting in and out of the closet.

Having fun playing with the sliding mirror

We’re happy because the hotel room was clean and free of bugs (or maybe I just didn’t see them crawling somewhere).  For only an overnight stay, I say that the hotel room is well-kept.  Whenever we want to stay in a hotel while on a trip, I make sure the staff is aware that we have a child with us.  I always ask if there’s an available pen.  It is important to know ahead of time so we can take our child’s playpen if the hotel doesn’t provide any.  And for child safety, we do our best to remember bringing extra outlet covers.

Our family had a great time on the trip in Oklahoma.  It would be nicer if we were able to swim in the pool though.

Unconscious In No Time ( Momimhar posted on April 28th, 2012 )

So today, like what the my doctor advised, I will just stay home and relax.  Because I just had the permanent sterilization procedure yesterday, I might experience cramping and soreness.

The procedure took about an hour behind schedule because:  firstly, I miscalculated the meal time prior.  And secondly, there was a patient who came in 30 minutes late.  So I had to wait until about 4:30 P.M. to get me started.  We arrived at the doctor’s office at 2:20 P.M.  My husband and daughter went to the play place.  The nurse called me and got me prepared for the procedure.  She guided me at all times.  When the anesthesiologist sedated me through IV, I was unconscious in no time.

When I woke up, my husband and daughter was waiting for me in the patient’s room.  Though I was still feeling groggy, my heart was filled with cheer when my little princess excitedly came to me saying “Mami-mami” then she gave me hugs and kisses.  My husband said that, as per the doctor, the procedure did not even took 10 minutes.  It took me longer to wake up though.  On our way home, I was kinda nauseous.  My husband quickly stopped by a construction site then I did my business there.  That was a relief.

Besides the spotting, everything’s fine.  I am not nauseous or whatsoever.
