On our way home from my work last night, I remembered to stop by at someone’s house to pick up a pre-owned Mickey Mouse toddler dress sold to me for $3. It was from a local online garage sale group on Facebook. Unfortunately, the toddler dress was not on the porch so my darling daughter and I headed home. We passed thru downtown Wylie and I saw some barricades and when I looked around, the park was all lit up. I thought something nice is going on at the park. So I told DD about it and we agreed to stop by and look. It was about 7:30 P.M.
So many people were there – grown ups, big kids, small kids, and babies. There were animals, too. I didn’t have much time to take photos of the tents and booths because K was excited to look at the animals. It was a mini Petting Zoo. There were two goats, a sheep, and a pig. Boy, how she loved that! There was a super big inflatable bounce and slide but we didn’t go there because it was so high and K said she liked petting the animals better.
Then we head to the playground because K wanted to swing but the four swings were occupied. So she went to the other playground set. She had fun climbing up and down the stairs and sliding down the small and big slides. Then I heard the emcee said that it was 10 minutes before the fireworks. So we waited for it before we went home. It was nice. K said, “I love watching fireworks.” “Me, too,” I said. After the fireworks, I let K play for 20 minutes then we head home.
By the way, on our way to the car, I asked someone what’s the special event about. He said it was National Night Out for the city.
