My husband and I were so disappointed and embarrassed today. Our darling daughter didn’t cooperate when it was time to take our portraits at the photography studio this afternoon. I set this appointment to have our family portraits taken because the prints will arrive in about two weeks. Then we still have time to have our greeting cards for the Holidays. But we had to cancel because, all of a sudden, our daughter had tantrums. She didn’t want to go to the photo room. And worse, she was crying all of a sudden. We were all dressed up, looking great and then we had to leave because she didn’t compose herself. She’s feeling fine. We told her about today’s schedule last night. Now our weekend was ruined. Time wasted. Her daddy was very upset that he let her think about what she did all afternoon.
Then this evening at bedtime I asked why she was crying at the studio. She said she wanted to go to the playground. Well, I told her already that I will take her to the playground after the photo shoot and lunch. She just wanted to get what she wants right there and then. Well, she has to learn how to wait and be patient. We have things scheduled and we have to get them done first before we can go have some leisure time. She apologized to her daddy and me before going to bed.
I don’t know if we can still have the time to get our portraits taken next weekend. We will be busy traveling for Thanksgiving Day.
It’s Fall season. Usually this time of year my daughter and I catches cough and colds. The humidity is low this time of year. Also, winter is just a few weeks ahead and we don’t want to get sick during the Holidays. As of the moment, my darling daughter has the sniffles and cough. The coughing is bad because it wakes her up at night. We went to her pediatrician last week to ask what remedy she can recommend since the coughing is almost two weeks now. She advised Mucinex Multi-symptom for kids 4 and 6 below years old. So far, colds and the coughing are subsiding. The medicine is taking effect.
We bought this Pro Care Humidifier last year. I can say that it is working really well. It blows invisible mist and the noise is not bothersome. A full tank of water capacity lasts all day. That means when I fully fill the tank at about nine o’clock in the evening, I am not filling it again until morning of the next day. But I only turn the dial on the lowest setting.
In addition to the medicine, I give my daughter some warm lemonade with honey and lots of water. She also drinks orange juice once a day. I hope she gets well very soon.
It’s my darling daughter’s 4th birthday very soon. And she has nice things in mind to be her birthday presents already. Whenever we go to the store, she wants us to go to the toys department because, she said, she wants to only look at toys. Yea right. 🙂 It has been her habit lately. I need to come up with something to stop impulse buying.
