We Love The Bookstore! ( Momimhar posted on June 3rd, 2020 )

Book shopping at Barnes & Noble.

We went book shopping yesterday at Barnes & Noble. Darling daughter is almost finished reading the Wings of Fire series Book #11 so we went to look for Book #12. Gladly she found it in this aisle. The bookstore is in the process of rearranging the book shelves in the children’s section. No more tables and chairs at the story time area. I guess it is to avoid group gathering during shopping hours. Also, there’s no story time at the moment due to this pandemic.

We enjoy book shopping and we love the bookstore. Just looking around looking at books is a therapy.

Take Advantage of Some Stores Offering Curbside Pick Up ( Momimhar posted on April 24th, 2020 )

We got bored. Since my darling daughter finished reading Tui Sutherland’s Wings of Fire Book #9, we had to order the Book #10 ASAP. DD is into this book series about dragons now. She finds the story fun and interesting. ‘Very picky, too. She wants the books in hardcover format. I figured DD is collecting the series.

Gladly Barnes & Noble does curbside pick up. Their store locations are temporarily closed because of the COVID-19 crisis. But customers are still able to buy books online. We just have to find the nearest Barnes & Noble to pick up our orders because not all bookstores offer this service. It also depends if the items are available or in stock in the bookstore near you.

DD was a happy camper getting her new book. She will be busy with this one for a little while. 🙂

Guest Reader Today ( Momimhar posted on February 28th, 2017 )

I was a guest reader in K’s class yesterday.

In participation with the Read Across America Campaign week, K’s school PTO asked parents if we’re able to come to the school and read to the students or listen to them read.  I came to her school yesterday and read a book to two First Grader students and to K’s class.

It was a great feeling to be able to share a little time reading to the children and see them interact and share their reactions about the story I read to them.
