Candle-lighting in the church during the worship service. Christmas Eve 2014

Merry Christmas!  How was your day?  Ours was great.  Celebrating the Holidays at our folks’ place is always nice.  Lots of food and fun company.  The kids had a blast opening their Christmas presents last night.  And my darling daughter got something very nice.

But before all of that, we attended the worship service on Christmas Eve.  The kids, especially DD, paid attention and joined the singing during the service.  Like last year, all the children who were at the service were given a special memento.  It’s an ornament of different designs made with small white and gold beads.  My daughter was so happy.

When we got home after the worship service, we had a great Christmas Eve dinner.  As always, mom cooked delicious food.  The anxious girls and boys couldn’t wait to open their gifts. 🙂

Well, we didn’t let them wait too long so we went ahead with the opening presents.  Mom and Dad gave them a system in opening their gifts – from the youngest to the eldest grandchild.  Like I mentioned, Kaye received something special from her aunt, uncle, and cousins.  It was the biggest gift wrapped on the left.  It was a great Christmas Eve.

We helped daddy with the assembly. :)

Kaye was very happy and excited about her new Barbie Dream House Dollhouse.  She wanted to play with it last night but my husband said we’ll assemble it at home and she can play with it when we get home.

Who Gets Your Trust On Babysitting Your Child? ( Momimhar posted on December 17th, 2014 )

When it comes to babysitting your child, who gets your trust on this?  Many of us parents put our children to daycare.  This applies most of the time to those who are working.  But to moms like me who are stay at home and working only part time, we hire a babysitter.

Babysitting is not an easy job.  And leaving our child with a babysitter is not easy either.  Babysitters have to be well-trained, reliable, trustworthy, and affectionate.  Certified babysitters posses proper documents to prove that they are capable to take care of our beloved kids.  We all know that daycare and babysitting service is not cheap.  So for parents like me who do not have that much money to hire one find someone who can help me with babysitting.

On special occasion like a Holiday party, my dear husband and I ask a close friend or a family to watch or babysit our daughter for a few hours then we picked her up after the party.  When we went to my husband’s company Holiday party last year, DD’s godmother babysit her because their house is closer to the party venue.  This year’s company Holiday party venue was held closer to our area so my cousin watched over DD.

We feel very comfortable when we leave our kids to the people who we trust the most.  We know that they will be well-taken care of while we are away for a few hours.  But of course, it is also are responsibility to call and check on them once in a while to see if everything is okay.  This way, we can figure out solution if just in case a problem arises.

The Nutcracker Show And Sleepover ( Momimhar posted on December 16th, 2014 )

Nutcracker show

It was a great party.  Thanks to my sister-in-law and family for organizing it.  That evening of Saturday we went to see The Nutcracker Show.  My mother-in-law bought tickets for us girls and the older boy cousin to watch it.  Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to go because she was sick.  So it was only me, DD, sister-in-law, her daughter Shanna, and her son P.  On our way to the show, we picked up Shanna’s girl friend and classmate because she’s also watching the show.

That the very first time my daughter and I watched a live ballet show.  We usually watch ballet on YouTube and we dance together during playtime.  Though didn’t enjoy the first part of The Nutcracker, my darling daughter got interested at the second part where The Nutcracker turned in to a prince and the girl became a princess, and they traveled around the world.  At that point ballet dancers performed in their most lively and in colorful ballet costumes.  But all in all, it was a great show.

We stopped by at Braums after the show and order ice cream to go.  My, the kids asked for ice cream that cold cold night.  We went home with Shanna’s friend because she will spend the night at my sister-in-law’s house for a sleepover.  And I consider that evening as DD’s very first sleepover.  The three girls were sleeping squeezed in Shanna’s twin bed.  That was cute.
