One of my friends had a baby shower party two weeks ago. We’re excited for her upcoming baby boy who’s due next month.
It’s a boy and he is a February baby.

My friend invited me and my cousin to a double Baby Shower Party last weekend. One of the celebrant is having a boy and the other one is having a girl. It was a double fun celebration. My cousin wasn’t able to come because of car trouble, some sort. When she was trying starting her car, the engine goes and then stopped. Then she was gonna try again but when she’s pulling out the key, it got stuck. Both of us don’t have any idea what’s the problem.
Anyway, it was a great party. The food was awesome and we had fun playing games and singing videoke. It was nice to see everyone at the party. The moms-to-be are getting excited to see their new babies. As a gift, I gave them a gift card so they can buy what they really need.

So the second Baby Shower Party for me was held in October 2010. My dear husband’s former co-employee hosted the party at her house. It was attended by my friends in the Wesleyan Bible Study Group. My mother-in-law came over, too.
I never knew how a baby shower party was held until I had one. Oh not only one but two baby showers. 🙂 I didn’t even have an idea what it was before because, as far as I can remember, none of the people I’ve known – from my girl friends to my female co-employees – back home had one. So this was one of the special events for me. To me, celebrating the upcoming baby is special.
Our dear friend was very helpful with everything that she held the party at her house. My DH and I were so thankful to her. Hosting a baby shower party wasn’t easy. We appreciated all the efforts of the hosts. They kept the guests entertained with the prepared baby shower games. The food was great. Besides the main entrees, some of the guests brought a dish to share with everyone. A sweet gesture that’s highly appreciated.
I received lots of beautiful great gifts for my baby including diapers, wipes, baby essentials, winter clothes for baby, and a bedding set. One of the best gifts was the stroller.

I went to a baby shower few weeks ago and boy, it reminded me of my own baby shower three years ago. Actually, I had two baby shower parties in 2010. My group of friends hosted the first baby shower in September and the Bible Study group hosted the second in October. I wasn’t expecting those parties because first and foremost, I didn’t know what that was until my two best friends told me about it.

I had so much fun because my friends came over to attend my baby shower party. My cousin and her husband also joined us. Everyone enjoyed the food and the company. Baby shower games were conducted by the host and my blogger friend Anne of The Princesses in the Castle was one of the winners.

I can’t believe how big my belly was during my pregnancy. I gained 40 lbs. total. Anyway, I am so thankful to have friends who care. Those were the memories that I will cherish forever.
