Milestone: First Grade Meet The Teacher ( Momimhar posted on August 17th, 2017 )

Oh my!  It is back to school again.  K is now officially a First Grader.  Today, we received the postcard from her new teacher.  And we met her this evening at the new school.  All the school supplies needed for the whole year were submitted this evening.

Postcard from the school.

As you know, our school district did some rezoning because K’s previous school is over populated.  The students who are affected with the rezoning will attend the newer elementary school, which is 5 miles distance from our house.  Hopefully, K will be joined by a few of her classmates in Kindergarten from her previous school. She will be delighted about that seeing a familiar face.

Being a transferee makes you feel uneasy.  It is always takes time to adjust to the new school.  I was a transferee, too, when I was in school. In fact, I was transferred to three schools because my family moved three times-twice during my grade school days and once when I was in middle school.  It was tough because I didn’t remember my parents encouraged me or comforted me during the adjustment period.  This is a new challenge for me to surpass. I will do my best to be able to give my child the encouragement she needs in this transition.

Greetings!

Encouragement.

K is somewhat excited, though.  This is because she will not be able to see her cousin in the new school.  My cousin and I talked to our girls and assured them that everything will be fine.  They will be seeing each other again in Middle School, and they will always have play dates.

Though I am not quite excited for the back to school coming Monday, but I am happy that we all had a wonderful summer.  I am hoping for a great school year, too.

How about you?
