We were exploring the outdoors this evening. Because the summer season is nearly approaching, the days are getting longer and the nights are getting shorter here in the US. So we can extend our outdoor activities until eight o’clock in the evening if we like.
I had a big day last Saturday. I was with my friends earlier to witness the Asian Festival in Dallas. After a nice nap, my dear husband and darling daughter wanted to go see the butterflies in the backyard. There were lots of them enjoying the nectar of the flowers of the Wax Leaf Ligustrum bushes. The little girl enjoyed chasing the butterflies. She loves them. She wanted to catch some and she did. But she let them go after saying ‘hi’. As she grows, our little princess gets more and more interested with nature and the outdoors.
It’s really nice to have a space in the backyard where our little one can ran around and explore. We enjoy living in the country. Our backyard has a big space that I am thinking of buying an outdoor playground for her. It is kinda pricey, I know. I have to talk to my dear husband about it. Anyway, the little one had so much fun chasing and catching butterflies this evening. I think, if I haven’t lost count, she caught 11 butterflies.
Chasing butterflies is one of her hobby. I hope that someday, like the butterflies, she will chase her dreams and catch them one by one without trouble.
WOW a lot of butterflies indeed! I hope my kids will experience that too. but it is so hard to catch butterflies nowadays …
Ohhh chasing butterflies is lots of fun!! Reminds me of Tinkerbell 🙂
This remind me when I was little, I used to catch or trying to catch butterflies or dragonfly. LOL! It would be nice to do it again with my kids.
What a fun thing you did, sis! I bet the little girl had a blast catching butterflies and actually holding them! Reminds me of my childhood. 🙂
Oh how fun, good thing it is caught in the camera Mare hehehe.
Oo mare. Minsan frustrating kasi kapag may nakitang butterfly, gusto hulihin kahit na nasa road kami.

such a nice bonding time, would love to catch some butterflies too.
It’s nice that you can still find butterflies in your yard. I can’t find any here in our place.
I think as long as they see flowers around, butterflies will be hovering.
Cool moments with your doter momi. I loooved butterflies and take pictures of them also!
