The grandparents came over Friday night to babysit the little one on Saturday. My husband and I went to Oklahoma for a weekend getaway as a post celebration for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Darling daughter was very happy to see her Na-na and Paw-paw. The night the folks arrived, she did not want them to go to bed. 🙂
I was feeling a bit hesitant to go to Oklahoma without our little girl with us. That was the very first time my husband and I went on a trip without our little princess. But I guess it is also a preparation for me being away from my child for a short period of time because, before we know it, she will be in school in a year or two. Surely I am not ready of it. She’s in a preschool age where she needs to learn being independent sometimes. I am very thankful and lucky to have such a loving and caring in-laws. They love the little one so much. Even though she makes them exhausted from playing and activities, they adore her very much.
And that weekend was also the very first time I prepared things for the grandparents’ babysitting. I was confused where to start. My husband helped me with buying snacks and dinner for the folks. There’s food for the little one ready in the fridge so I just had to put them in food containers and told my mother-in-law what’s for lunch. Then I made the drinks ready for Saturday.
The only concern why they called Saturday afternoon was that, my darling daughter was coughing and there’s no cough medicine. I told my mother-in-law that I give the little one honey. Sure that helped.
I was missing my daughter so much. I couldn’t wait to go home. We got home before her bedtime and we gave her big hugs and kisses…she’s so happy to see us. The grandparents had a great time babysitting, too.
