Guest Reader Today ( Momimhar posted on February 28th, 2017 )

I was a guest reader in K’s class yesterday.

In participation with the Read Across America Campaign week, K’s school PTO asked parents if we’re able to come to the school and read to the students or listen to them read.  I came to her school yesterday and read a book to two First Grader students and to K’s class.

It was a great feeling to be able to share a little time reading to the children and see them interact and share their reactions about the story I read to them.

First Father And Daughter Dance ( Momimhar posted on February 11th, 2017 )

My dear husband and our darling daughter attended the school’s Father-Daughter Dance 2017 this evening.  It was their very first Father and Daughter Dance event.  My husband didn’t know what to do at the Dance so I went with them and helped him with the registration process.  He thought I’d be able to go with them inside the dance hall but I can’t.  Only fathers and daughters can.  He didn’t bring his cellphone so they didn’t have any pictures together at the dance.

K accessorized for the dance. 🙂

When  we were getting ready and while I was dressing K, she grabbed the peacock Christmas ornament and asked me to pin it on her shoulder facing forward.  This kid has a big imagination on accessorizing. 🙂  She was walking carefully not to let the blue peacock fall off her shoulder.

Instead of going home after dropping of my loves, I decided to go to my cousin’s house and had a visit while waiting for the time to pick up my loves.  My cousin baked some chocolate cupcakes and they were delicious.

I picked dear husband and K at 8:30 P.M..  K said she had a great time at the dance.

Weekend Movie: Sing (A Musical) ( Momimhar posted on February 4th, 2017 )

Popcorn

at the cinema

My family and I enjoy watching movies on weekends.  Also, if there is an interesting animated movie for kids, we watch it together on Saturdays. Like this afternoon, we watched the movie Sing.  My darling daughter wanted to watch The Space Between Us.  But it is not appropriate for her age so I convinced her to watch something else.  Luckily, Sing is still playing in the cinema in Wylie.

I thought the movie would be one of those lame animated movies.  But, because it’s a musical and had a good song list (soundtrack), K and I enjoyed it.  Sing was an entertaining movie with good humor in it.  The animal characters sang their songs with full emotion.  The story line was good.

K had a great time. She loves watching movies.
