Awards Assembly 2020 ( Momimhar posted on May 20th, 2020 )

Congratulations to our darling daughter! She received three awards this year:

  • “A” Honor Roll
  • The Writer Award
  • Certificate of Completion (3rd Grade)

We are very proud of our little girl. She worked hard this year. Though school didn’t re-open since after the Spring Break because of the COVID-19 virus outbreak, the learning continued at home. It was an adjustment and was not easy but we did it. We finished the school year strong and healthy. Award assembly was drive-thru. Even so, we were still able to see the teachers and school mates. It was a happy day.

We still don’t know what the arrangements will be for the next school year. I am sure our school district, and all other districts, are very busy working on the best decisions right now.

Anyhow, congratulations again to my DD. She is 4th Grade-ready.

Congratulations also to the graduates of 2020. We will all get through these trying times. Be strong and persevere.

Distance Learning: Living and Non-Living Things Interactions Science Assignment ( Momimhar posted on April 19th, 2020 )

Last week my darling daughter and I went out to the yard to do her Science assignment. It was about Living and Non-Living Things Interactions. So we did. It was quite chilly outside that day but we successfully accomplished the task.

Darling daughter also took a few pictures so she can send them over to her Science teacher thru Google Classroom. It was a lot of fun.

Read Across America Week 2020 ( Momimhar posted on March 4th, 2020 )

It’s Read Across America Week this week. This is to promote and encourage reading to our children and grandchildren and make a habit of reading 20 minutes or more a day. Reading helps enhance their speech and vocabulary skills. Age appropriate books are recommended to children in order for them to properly transition to reading levels. To make this reading habits successful, we parents should limit screen time. We should take our kids to book shopping and let them choose the books that interest them.
