Polar Express at school

I subbed in Kindergarten few days ago, and it was a Polar Express Day.  The school’s PTO organized this event for the students every Christmas season.  The children loves it.  They get to wear their favorite pajamas to school and bring their favorite pillows or stuffed toy (lovey for the younger ones).  Then they get to watch the Disney animated movie Polar Express while eating popcorn and having some chocolate milk delivered room-to-room by the PTO members.

It was indeed a special event for the students.  Their excitement was to the roof.  In fact, almost all of the children in the class I subbed kept asking me when will the Polar Express gonna start. 🙂  They’re so adorable.  They can’t wait for Christmas.

Cheers! It’s Christmas time.

We had a great time at the Christmas Party at my dear friend R’s home first weekend of this month.  We all agreed to have it early this year because one of our friend was leaving for Singapore and won’t be back until the week after New Year’s.  Though we had to rush a few things a bit, everything went according to plan.  Our theme this year was Great Gatsby.  🙂 It was a potluck and all the party needs and party supplies were bought from Amazon and Party City.

The children had a blast.  The games were very exciting and entertaining.  Every child who were at the party was given a Christmas gift to open on Christmas Eve.  Of course, grown ups exchanged gifts, too.  We played the White Elephant Exchanging Gifts game and it was a lot of fun.

Darling daughter enjoyed the company of her friends as well. She said it’s one of the best days ever.  I am glad.  I want her to have great memories with her friends, too.  Another thing is that, I want my daughter to learn the concept of sharing.  In fact, she is now learning to let go of her old toys, outgrown clothes, and books and donate them which is good.

A Blessed Happy New Year To You – It’s 2017 ( Momimhar posted on January 1st, 2017 )

We had a blast celebrating New Year’s at our humble home.  Two of my dear husband’s co-employees and their families came over to celebrate with us.  They bought fireworks and we had fun shooting fireworks in a cold New Year’s Eve. The kids had fun dancing with Just Dance on Wii U. We’re supposed to do Just Sing Karaoke too, but for some reason the CD didn’t play.

It was a great New Year’s celebration.  We missed a few family and friends but they were sick and my brother-in-law and his wife already had a commitment ahead of time.
