Late in the year 2025, I met a someone outstanding on social media. I said “outstanding” because this person seemed to be a motivator and an inspiring person. She shared inspirational and motivational quotes on her social media profile. I sent her a message complimenting her great words of inspiration. She responded and we became online pals after that.

As you know, I am now a middle-aged woman and I think I am experiencing a midlife crisis at this point of my life. So whenever I was feeling down or feeling empty, I talked to my new found friend. I open up to my close friends, too. They are my emotional support. Anyway, she was very accommodating with her responses which helped lighten the heavy feeling in my heart. We didn’t share personal information with each other; just regular conversations about life experiences. For example, I shared with how my regrets and struggles when I was young are still making me feel sad up to now. Her words of advice were comforting and not judgy. They felt enlightening and motivating at the same time.

I kind of enjoyed this friendship. She was like a therapist. 🙂
