Few weeks ago, the DH has finally decided to go ahead and have the house foundation repair. Our house had been experiencing a lot popping and showing a few cracks here and there in the ceiling over the years. One big crack is in the kitchen ceiling that looks like the house is gonna split in half soon. Scary.

So, one morning I woke up to a very loud noise outside. The workers from Olshan Foundation Repair were drilling holes on the back side of our house and on the back porch. After jack-hammering the porch’s concrete, the guys started digging holes using shovels. They dug at least six feet underground for each hole. Then they installed those foundation materials under the house.

It just amazed me how these guys finished the foundation repair for just one day. This type of house maintenance is very necessary for the longevity of the home. Also, if we somehow decided to sell the house in the future, at least the foundation is already taken care of.

Hopefully, we’ll see some improvement next year. The summers in Texas is brutal and hopefully, we won’t hear the ceiling cracking anymore.
