Quality Time With Your Kids ( Momimhar posted on July 12th, 2013 )

As part of our relaxation, darling daughter and were looking at photographs on my netbook computer this afternoon before taking a nap.  I was very touched seeing her photos when she was a newborn and infant.  Oh how I loved and treasured those moments when I was breastfeeding her and holding her in my arms especially when I was putting her to sleep.  Now she’s very talkative and very active.  Lots of questions that sometimes I get speechless and couldn’t find the words in my mind.

In the next few months my darling daughter is turning 3.  Summer is almost over and whenever the cool breeze starts to come, all I can think of is the coming of the Holidays and my DD’s birthday.  We cannot hold back the time, you know.  It comes and goes very quickly.  What can we do to make the most of the time with our little ones?  There are so many things you can do that you and your kids can enjoy together and spend quality time.

Swimming

Arts and Crafts

Gardening

Baking

Helping with Activity/Assignment

Play Dates

Playing at home (relaxing and bonding – what DD and me does most of the time)

Reading books

Traveling

Dads also can be a part of this, too.  My DD and DH sometimes work in the garden or read books.  I am very proud that my DD is growing and developing well.

DD’s First Luau Party ( Momimhar posted on July 9th, 2013 )

Yay!  Finally I was able to find a summer activity for my darling daughter and was able to let her join, too.  For her age, I find it difficult to find a group event where she can be with other kids and interact.  This time I found that the recreation center in Wylie has a periodic magazine where with the list of available services and activities for all ages.  Some activities require registration fees.  There is a discount if you are a member in the recreation center.

I registered my darling daughter for the Pre-K category’s Luau Party.  This event is for 2-5 years kids.  The registration fee was $9 includes the parent.  I was very excited for DD because it was her first Luau Party.  I woke very early to make sure that I will be able to prepare her breakfast before we go.

The activities at the Pre-K Luau Party include:

Games – recognizing colors

Arts and Crafts – decorated sun visor (for me and DD), cookie decorating, decorating a fish, jelly fish making

Story Time

Snack Time

Hula Dance

The coordinator let us keep the sun visors, the garland, and the Hula skirt.  Nice!  I was very glad that the recreation center provides summer activities like this for kids.  It is important to let the kids join this kind of events/activities to help develop their social skills as well as to enhance and discover talents.

Boosting The Energy And Keeping Healthy ( Momimhar posted on July 8th, 2013 )

Hard working parents must take care of themselves.  Working too much won’t do any good to our well-being.  Our body and mind need relaxation and rest once in a while.  That is why when it’s our day off, we take advantage of the time to be with the family or go on a weekend trip visiting some family.  A breath of fresh air is necessary, sometimes.  Over-fatigue can lead to weakness and worse, sickness.  So taking care of ourselves by taking enough rest, lots of exercise, and vitamins can be of huge help in keeping our body and mind healthy.

Full time moms like us also need health essentials that will keep our physical health on a steady pace to avoid sickness.  If anyone is looking for a wellness drink, Nopalea by Trivita wellness drink can also be an option to keeping our body joints healthy.  I have seen this on media recently and it just caught my attention. I know someone close to me who really needs this wellness drink – my aunt who is currently having joint problems.  I thought of this drink immediately.

As at stay-at-home mom, I am pretty busy.  Plus my toddler girl always wants to play.  But I have no regrets.  Keeping myself busy and fit at all times can help me become a better mommy.
