The Plan Is Ruined ( Momimhar posted on March 31st, 2013 )

Today’s plan is ruined.  It’s not because of the weather this morning when we got severe thunderstorm with heavy rains and hail in our area. (For hail video, please click Hail On Easter Sunday.)  And it is definitely not because my husband doesn’t want to go to the Easter Sunday events.  It’s because of me.  Why?  I woke up with migraine and cramps.  My once-a-month visitor came at wrong timing!  My did not pressure me about the plan because he knows how I feel in times like this.

I felt very bad because we we’re not at the Easter Sunday worship service.  And I wasn’t able to take my darling daughter to the birthday party and Easter Egg Hunt.  Everything was planned and well-prepared yesterday but I was not feeling well the whole day today!

See, when us moms get sick, everything in the house is affected – appointments and commitments, chores, errands…everything planned is ruined.  Our husbands can help with a few things, but still we feel upset because we want to be always there to do the job.  In my situation, I always get this discomfort every month.  This time it came on a special occasion.  Anyway, my husband told me not to worry too much about it.  Kaye is too young to remember that she skipped an Easter Egg Hunt.

Ugh!  What a day!

Mother And Daughter’s First Trip Out Of Town ( Momimhar posted on March 28th, 2013 )

My husband and I had a talk about me driving to Tyler for a visit and spend the night there with the family during the week.  “I think I can.”, I said.  And now my darling daughter and I traveled East today by ourselves.  We are here at her grandparents’ house for a visit and see the cousins too because we can’t come over on Easter Sunday for we already have an early commitment.  And because daddy is at work, just the two of us head to Tyler.  It’s mother and daughter’s first trip out of town.

So darling daughter and I are spending the night at grandparents’ house.  We went to see her cousins when we arrived this afternoon.  They played kids’ games such as hide-and-seek, tag, and puzzles for a little while then we ordered spaghetti with meatballs, salad, and rolls for dinner.

Sometimes like today, my little girl doesn’t take a nap when she knows we’re going to Na-na and Paw-paw’s house.  It’s always the excitement and the thought that she will be with her grandparents that keep her up.  Kids are really amazing when it comes to bonding with their grandparents.  They love them so much that they don’t want to be away from grandma and grandpa.  I am very thankful that my darling daughter has a very loving grandparents.  ‘Wish them more years in this world.

Making Friends Online ( Momimhar posted on March 25th, 2013 )

Making friends is fun especially if you find true ones.  You treat them like a family that you share your joys and heartaches with them.

I have lots of new friends.  Some of them I met from a parties and celebrations.  Others I met from the Internet.  I joined so many social networking mainly because I was trying to find love online.  With God’s guidance and blessings, I found my true love online.  Although we had a long distance relationship, it turned out well that we got engaged and got married.

I am sharing this because there are people out there who want to meet new friends from all over the world.  And, who knows, they can find true love too.  With the sincerity of everyone, Gods Faithbook online social network Christian members share and learn in weekly Bible Study Groups that leads to getting the friendship religiously important.   Joining is free.  There are activities for members to mingle that involves games and Bible Study.

And because social networking on the Internet is broad, we  cannot always commit our trust.  Always trust your instinct and pray for guidance.  That’s what I did when I joined social networks looking for someone to love.

Always Ask For The Doctor’s Advice ( Momimhar posted on March 21st, 2013 )

I am very glad and thankful that my little princess is feeling well now.  Her coughing have eased and runny nose anymore.  Though she sneezes once in a while but no more wetness from the nose.  The Little Noses nasal spray, humidifier, lots of liquid intake, fruits, soup, and honey help with getting rid of the sniffles and coughing.

My husband and I were very worried about our little girl’s coughing because it’s going on almost two weeks.  I talked to the nurse in the pediatrician’s office about the situation.  Her advice was to get a humidifier to moisten the air inside the house especially in the evening.  Then she asked me to stop giving the cough syrup I bought.  Instead, she a recommended the pure honey to be taken at bed time.  If the coughing still goes on in a few days and if she’s wheezing, then we’ll go see the doctor.  I found that cough syrup worked fine when my daughter the last time she had a cough.  But I followed the nurse’s recommendation.  And now, my darling daughter is feeling well.

We cannot help but worry whenever our kids are sick or if someone in the family is not feeling well.  We do our best to make them feel better.  And as parents, we feel stressed when our kids are sick.  The best thing we can do is stay calm, stick to simple home remedies, and talk to their doctor for advice.
