We Enjoy Bonding Time ( Momimhar posted on May 29th, 2012 )

Daddy had a three-day weekend for the Memorial Day holiday.  I like it when my husband is home because I love his presence in the house and, our daughter gets to bond with the two of us.

Before noon yesterday, we went to town and checked if there’s a ceremony going on at the park.  I guess we were late because the people were packing up their equipment.  So we just walked around and saw kittens to be given away for free.  Well, the kittens were cute but I don’t like the colors.  In addition, we are not ready for a pet right now.  Then we played a bit at the park’s playground.  My little girl and I got on the swing for a few minutes despite of the heat of the sun.  She liked it though.

Then for our dinner date, we went to Golden Corral in McKinney.  My husband and I love eating in a restaurant who serves buffet like Golden Corral.  He got a huge salad first.  I went ahead and got myself some rice, pot roast, veggies, fried chicken, and rolls.  I love their dinner rolls.  I hope I can make bread at home that tastes like that.  We were so full when we got out of the restaurant, as usual.

Neighborhood Garage Sale ( Momimhar posted on May 27th, 2012 )

We had a garage sale in our neighborhood yesterday.  The items I mostly displayed were baby clothes and baby gear.  The changing table furniture was also out for sale, and sold quickly.  What’s nice about having a garage sale is when you sell the items you want to get rid off.  The weather was great yesterday morning too.

Baby bath, bouncer, stroller

Though we really didn’t have much on display in the garage, our neighbors across the street had a LOT of items, and mostly were baby stuff too.  They have two kids, a young girl and a toddler boy.  So they pulled out all the cribs, bassinet, baby clothes, and toddler toys that they don’t need.  Since they are located in the corner, theirs were the first to be seen from the road and driving traffic to the neighborhood.

Yard sale at the neighbor's

There was a buyer who asked me if there’s still infant clothing that I want to sell.  He asked that question because he saw my little princess walking around and playing with the stroller and the display items.  I grabbed the box of baby clothes from 3 months to 12 months and picked a few pairs of outfits for his granddaughter who was with him.  He liked the baby outfits so he payed a good amount for those.  I am still saving some baby clothing for my future niece and friends’ newborn girls.  It is nice to give the slightly used baby clothes to those who need them.

My cousin and her daughter came over for the garage sale.  We walked to see what we can see at the other yards while my husband man the garage.  Her daughter found a big red Christmas teddy bear.  My little girl found this yellow duck.  The owner gave the girls the toys for free.  Yay!

Baby got this yellow ducky for free

The items left unsold are still available for sale in a reasonable price-the infant bath tub, bouncer, and universal stroller.  If you are interested, please let me know.

Including Kids Recreation In Your Itinerary ( Momimhar posted on May 26th, 2012 )

Yes, summer is almost here.  Summer vacation is one of the things most of us are anxious to get in this hot season.  No doubt that everyone was saving for it.

My family receives invitation from family and friends to come for a visit.  My aunt is not an exception.  My aunt (whom I just found recently on Facebook), is presently residing in New Jersey.  And she is inviting us to come over there and stay with her for a week.  This is also to be able to meet her family and have a get-together for a few days.  She asked me what interest us when it comes to traveling.  I told her that we like going to a museum or a theme park.  Because we have a little girl, we want our trips or vacation include kids recreation in our itinerary.

Central New Jersey has lots of interesting attractions to enjoy. There is Sahara Sam’s Indoor Water Park where Samazon’s Ropes Adventure is named the world’s tallest ropes course, is very challenging.  I would love to climb the ropes and conquer my fear of heights.  There is a water raft ride that will definitely give us huge water splashes.  The Indian King Tavern Museum is a nice place to learn about American Indian heritage when visiting New Jersey.  Tourist attractions in Central New Jersey has a lot to offer to visitors.

My aunt’s invitation is very appealing but I have to check my husband’s work schedule.  We already have travel plans for this year and a New Jersey vacation is likely inviting, but everything depends on hubby’s schedule for now.  I did not make any promises to my aunt because I do not want her to expect much.
