Youth Volleyball 2025 Spring League Championships ( Momimhar posted on July 20th, 2025 )

Two months ago was the last Spring volleyball game. We are so ecstatic that my darling daughter’s 8th Grade team won the volleyball playoffs and and made it to the championship tournament right after. And guess what, they got 2nd Place! It was an exciting game against one of the best school district teams, especially in volleyball, around our area. The girls worked really hard in practices and gave their all on the court.

This is K’s first volleyball tournament, and first time playing the sport in a team, so we’re so excited for her to play the game. I think she’s a good volleyball player. I receive a lot of compliments on how talented she is and how good team player she is. With a great coaching, I think her skills will quickly improve and she will be awesome playing the sport.

My darling daughter will be a freshman in high school this year. In addition to sideline cheer leading, I wish her best of luck on school sports that she might be interested in.

Spring Volleyball League 2025 ( Momimhar posted on April 12th, 2025 )

K and me (line judge)

This year, my darling daughter tried a new sport. She’s playing volleyball this Spring. I am so delighted that she got interested in playing volleyball. You know volleyball is one of the great team sports there is. It’s also my personal favorite so it gladdened me that K finally wanted to try playing volleyball. We were both relieved that we still had the pair of volleyball knee pads that one of her friends gave her last year. They’re very useful in this sport.

So I gladly registered her in the Spring Volleyball League this year in the 8th Grade team. When I saw the roster, I was happy that there were players she knew from her classes. This was the very first time my daughter is playing team volleyball so it’s quite exciting for her. She felt very happy that she got her jersey number this time which is #13. (She was upset that someone got it first in basketball last year).

Volleyball practice twice a week.

After all the practice t-shirts and jersey fittings and their distributions, the practice begun and the games started in March. The first match was against another school’s 8th Grade team. Didn’t get the win but it was a great game. Our girls got challenged to do better.

Track Season 2025 Begins Won Gold and Silver Medals ( Momimhar posted on March 8th, 2025 )

Hi friends! Here we go it’s track season. My darling daughter tried out for track and she made it to participate in track events this year. Their first track meet was two weeks ago. It was actually an invitational attended by seven school districts. The second track meet was last week, where my darling daughter participated in three running events-the 400m dash, 200m relay, and the 800m relay.

I was so ecstatic because K won first in both the 400m dash and the 200m relay. Her relay team won second in the 800m relay, too. I was so proud of how she improved in just few weeks of daily practice. Waking up at 5:00 AM daily to practice was totally worth it.

Actually, K had been wanting to join the track team since last year (7th Grade). But she got sick on that tryouts week so she wasn’t able to do it. She was a little upset. We already bought a pair of track shoes prior to the tryouts. Gladly, she made the team this year, and good thing the shoes are still of use now. Although a year had passed, they still fit her. Wearing lightweight track shoes are more reliable than the common athletic shoes, I think.

She enjoys the sport. And she plans to tryout for track again next year. She will be in high school then. Oh how time flies so fast!

Congratulations to my darling K! Looking forward to the district meet in a couple of weeks. She’s pretty excited.

Pick A Day To Donate EMS Cheer Fundraiser ( Momimhar posted on April 25th, 2024 )

Greetings, friends! I hope this message finds you well.

I am reaching out to your kind hearts to support my darling daughter’s middle school cheer fundraising campaign. It is called Pick A Day To Donate. Attached is the calendar to the said fundraiser.

How does it work? You will pick a date/day of your choice to donate. Example: If you picked Day 7, you’ll donate $7. If you picked Days 7 and 8, you’ll donate $15 (7+8), and so on. Of course, any amount is highly appreciated.

You may send your donation via PayPal at mgmarly at gmail dot com . With your generosity, we are hoping to fully mark the calendar before the deadline, May 20, 2024.

My daughter Kay is excited to be a part of the middle school cheer squad this coming school year. Funds raised from this campaign will help with the competition costs, practice mats, cold weather gear, and the likes.

We appreciate your valued support and thank you so much for your time.

Sincerely,

Marly Sefcik
