The Kids Had So Much Fun On Thanksgiving Day ( Momimhar posted on November 28th, 2013 )

Greetings from Mommy's Bright Bundles

Greetings from Mommy’s Bright Bundles

Whether you’re with your family or traveling, I hope y’all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day celebration.  We all have so many things to be thankful for-the children in our lives, especially.  They bring pride and joy to us.  Their milestones and achievements bring happiness to our lives.  God bless our children.   God bless your families.

This year’s Thanksgiving Day celebration is at our folks’ house.  As usual, everyone gathers for the Thanksgiving feast as a tradition.  The young ones enjoyed being with each other playing and having fun.  From playing board games to running around in the backyard, the kids had so much enjoyment when they’re together.

As of now, DD is the youngest granddaughter in my hubby’s side of the family.  She is second to the youngest in mine.  My family misses her so much.  We look forward to see them again in a couple of years before DD goes to school.

When my sister-in-law got home from work, we started the Thanksgiving dinner.  My brother-in-law led the prayer.  My other brother-in-law and I sat with the kids at the dining area to make sure they’re eating good.  The rest went ahead at the formal dining.  So many delicious foods.  The turkey, the star of the occasion, was awesomely yummy!  Thanks to mom and dad.

How about you?  How’s your Thanksgiving Day?

“T” is for Turkey – Happy Thanksgiving Day! ( Momimhar posted on November 27th, 2013 )

Happy Thanksgiving Day everyone and to all my friends and family here in the US.  Another year is about to end and we are looking forward to the next year.  We have so many things to be thankful for.

Let us count our blessings and share with others.  The Almighty Father always provides.  We are grateful for the life, love, happiness, and opportunities that are given to us.  Storms come and go but still we are standing strong and hopeful.  There might be some mistakes in our decisions but those are part of life.  We learned and they made us wiser (don’t you think?).

Nothing is impossible if we sincerely pray for guidance.  We have our family and good friends who we love and cherish.  Everything in this world is worth be thankful for.  Be thankful every day.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

I have plenty of things to be thankful for.  Below are some of them.  I am thankful for/that…

…good health and wellness.

…having a loving and understanding husband.

…husband’s job promotion.

…a healthy and smart daughter.

…supportive and caring in-laws.

…all of my family in the Philippines are safe after the super typhoon Haiyan.

…regular blogging opportunities.

…true friends (long time and new ones).

…every day.

…the Earth.

Everybody’s gathering at our folks house on Thanksgiving Day.  That means our darling daughter will be seeing her cousins tomorrow.  Sure would want my cousin and her family to go with us.  But her husband has to work on Friday so they decided just to stay home.  They came to visit us today.  DD and her cousins got to play this afternoon.  It’s always fun.

How about you?

Affordable And Light ( Momimhar posted on November 22nd, 2012 )

Thanksgiving Day is the time when family gets together mainly giving thanks to all the blessings received the whole year through.  To me it is also a celebration of delicious food including turkey, dressing, sauerkraut, green beans casserole, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, ham, and the like.

Today, our family is celebrating Thanksgiving Day here at my husband’s parents’ house.  Everyone in my husband’s family is here to join the family’s traditional dinner.  My toddler is enjoying the company of her aunts, uncles, and cousins, too.  We are blessed with a beautiful weather so the kids are playing outside most of the time.

As I was sending my greetings to my friends on Facebook who are residing in the US, one of them is also going to the Philippines for a vacation.  She’s asking me if I already bought some homecoming gifts.  I told her I am not 100% done yet.  There are still some knick-knacks that I have to buy for my other cousins back home.  My friend suggested that if I’d like to buy some accessories for them, I should buy them online to save time and money.  Fashion jewelry such as necklaces, handmade bracelets, and earrings like feather earrings are mostly likely affordable and very light to be placed in the luggage.  In addition, my girl cousins love to accessorize so they would be happy to received such things.  Well, that made me think.

On the other hand, everyone is having a great time as usual.  We celebrate Thanksgiving with joy and a grateful heart.  For God is always providing each and everyone blessings every day.

Baby’s First Thanksgiving ( Momimhar posted on November 28th, 2011 )

We had a nice Thanksgiving Day celebration as usual.  It was special because it’s my baby’s first Thanksgiving.  She had a great time playing with her cousins and she enjoyed the attention the family is giving her.  Now that my baby girl is walking (she started walking at nine months), she’s all over the place.

Having a great time on Thanksgiving Day

My husband woke me up very early Thursday morning to finish getting ready.  When everything was ready and loaded in the car – our travel and diaper bags, Pack & Play pen, booster chair, infant bath tub, baby foods, and vanity bag – I gently took my baby from the crib, dress her up and put her in the car seat.  When we travel with baby, I make sure that her things are the priority.  I am glad she did not throw a fuss in the car.  Because usually babies will get fussy if they’re disturbed in their sleep.  It was a cool foggy morning when we hit the road to Whitehouse, Texas.  We left 15 minutes passed 8 A.M. so we can be there before noon.  Guess what, my baby did not go back to sleep the whole trip and refused to nap.  She got irritable that evening.

At the dinner table, we said our thanks for God’s blessings given to us.  I thank God for the safe, successful delivery and for giving us a healthy, beautiful baby girl.
