Elementary Field Day Filled With Physical Activities and Water Fun ( Momimhar posted on May 26th, 2017 )

Tug-of-war

K’s school had it’s yearly Field Day this morning.  All elementary students were geared up and excited for this amazing day to show their physical capabilities on fun games and to enhance their social development and sportsmanship.

The event was held at the high school athletic facility.  Students, together with their respective teachers, facilitating staff, and attending parents gathered at the athletic field for a great day of fun.

The activities/sports were facilitated according to stations. Each station had at least three assigned coordinator so the children were well-guided at these games: Bouncy Ball Race, Sponge Water Splash, Relay Race, Soccer game, and the classic game of Tug-O-War.

Sponge water splash.

K enjoyed the bouncy ball race and the sponge water splash most. She didn’t get the chance to guard the goal and got to kick the ball only once at the soccer game. But she had fun playing. That’s the most important part of the Field Day. Having fun.  Then we had a picnic lunch under the bleachers because it’s shady and the wind was very refreshing.  Then we had Kona Ice after lunch. Yay!

Picnic lunch.

Kona Ice. Yay!

The school was prompt sending announcements about this special event. We were well-prepared for the Field Day. It’s a hot cloudy day and the wind was blowing pretty hard. We brought:

  • Sunscreen
  • Water
  • Extra clothes
  • Towel
  • Food

Another memorable and fantastic day today. 🙂

First Father And Daughter Dance ( Momimhar posted on February 11th, 2017 )

My dear husband and our darling daughter attended the school’s Father-Daughter Dance 2017 this evening.  It was their very first Father and Daughter Dance event.  My husband didn’t know what to do at the Dance so I went with them and helped him with the registration process.  He thought I’d be able to go with them inside the dance hall but I can’t.  Only fathers and daughters can.  He didn’t bring his cellphone so they didn’t have any pictures together at the dance.

K accessorized for the dance. 🙂

When  we were getting ready and while I was dressing K, she grabbed the peacock Christmas ornament and asked me to pin it on her shoulder facing forward.  This kid has a big imagination on accessorizing. 🙂  She was walking carefully not to let the blue peacock fall off her shoulder.

Instead of going home after dropping of my loves, I decided to go to my cousin’s house and had a visit while waiting for the time to pick up my loves.  My cousin baked some chocolate cupcakes and they were delicious.

I picked dear husband and K at 8:30 P.M..  K said she had a great time at the dance.

A Blessed Happy New Year To You – It’s 2017 ( Momimhar posted on January 1st, 2017 )

Fireworks at our place. K and guests.

We had a blast celebrating New Year’s at our humble home.  Two of my dear husband’s co-employees and their families came over to celebrate with us.  They bought fireworks and we had fun shooting fireworks in a cold New Year’s Eve. The kids had fun dancing with Just Dance on Wii U. We’re supposed to do Just Sing Karaoke too, but for some reason the CD didn’t play.

It was a great New Year’s celebration.  We missed a few family and friends but they were sick and my brother-in-law and his wife already had a commitment ahead of time.

Happy New Year to you!  Wishing you all the best of 2017.

Birthday Party At Sweet & Sassy ( Momimhar posted on December 15th, 2016 )

K’s 6th birthday celebration was amazing.  She has been wanting to go to Sweet & Sassy and have a walk on their stage/runway in the store.  Obviously, she wanted to have a fashion show there. She told me that she wanted her birthday held at Sweet & Sassy.  My dear husband and I talked about the plan and he said book the party ahead of time to avoid the hassle of December party rush.

So here’s K and her dear family and friends at her 6th birthday party Fashion Runway at Sweet & Sassy in Garland (Texas).

Getting hair and face glam up.

Follow the leader to the dressing room. 🙂

Sweet.

Besides being a salon and store, Sweet & Sassy offers party options for kids.  You can choose from six party packages here.  In addition to that, you can also get add ons to the party package you have selected.  Goody bags, Make-your-own Spa items, or a Limo ride are some of the options that you can customized. I added goody bags as giveaways to our guests.  The girls loved it because they got to pick the items they like.

K’s on the spotlight.

K and her guests all dressed up. In this photo, they were about to play a game of Freeze Dance and then dance disco after.

The hostess and the crew were very friendly and lively.  Their cheerfulness kept the children engaged in all the activities during the party.  There was no dull moment.  What added to K’s enjoyment during her party was the music played.  Her favorites: Shake It Off by Taylor Swift, Can’t Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake from the movie Trolls, and one that I can’t remember…sorry. 🙂

The party room. Every party has its own hostess to help serve the cake and drinks.

The goody bags and stuff. These are add ons to the party packages.

Happy birthday, Kaylen. The hostess and her assistants greet the birthday girl and guests at the door before proceeding to the dressing room.

K wanted to wear a Chinese dress on her birthday. Glad I found this dress on Poshmark.

I think it was a great party.  K said she had an amazing day.   I hope our guests had a great time, too.  Thanks for the time and, also, for the birthday presents.

Spreading Christmas Cheer To All ( Momimhar posted on December 10th, 2016 )

Happy Holidays, everyone!  How are you doing?  Are you starting to relax now from the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping and decorating? Whether you are hosting a party or not, it feels nice to see our homes all decked up for the Holidays.

Speaking about shopping, I tried very hard not to spend too much on home decorations this year.  I had so much Christmas decorations from the past 8 years, and honestly I am not ready to get rid of them. Anyway, I would like to share some holiday cheer from my home to yours.  I am not very good at home decorating but I did my best. 🙂

Big flower arrangement by the entry way.

Now this big flower arrangement was quite expensive because it was priced $20 at a local garage sale. I bargained for half the price but the seller’s lowest price was $15.  I bought it anyway because I really, really liked it.  It looked taller on the round oriental vase.

Christmas table runner and poinsettia placemats

Do you enjoy decorating for the Holidays? I do.  As soon as the stores put their Holiday decorations on discounted sale, my family, friends and I buy whatever we can find that we like.  Most of my Christmas decorations and pieces were more than 5 years old.  These poinsettia placemats were given to me by my mother-in-law.  Aren’t they pretty?  The table runner was from Ross.

The centerpieces were bought from a on online local garage sale.

candle holder – $.50

crystal vase – $5

crystal candy dish – $3

colored balls and fillers – $2

Glass Christmas ball cardinal decor

Mesh Christmas wreath with cardinal bird and nest.

This mesh Christmas wreath was also given by my mother-in-law two years ago.  She won this at a raffle (door prize) at a Christmas Party with her group of friends.

I am so feeling festive now. I love Christmas season. How about you?
