Holiday Shopping Tips for the Babies in Your Life ( Momimhar posted on November 5th, 2018 )

If you are lucky enough to have one or more babies in your family right now, you may be thinking about what you will get them for the holidays. After all, the holiday shopping season is fast approaching, and many people like to get all of their shopping done as early as possible to save themselves money and stress. Babies are one of life’s greatest delights, but the truth is that they can be hard to shop for, especially when they are very young. If you’re not sure how to shop for the littlest ones in your life, here are a few tips to help you get started.

Baby K

The first thing to think about when you’re shopping for a holiday gift for a baby in your life is their parents. After all, the parents are the ones who will actually be opening the gift and they are the ones whose tastes really matter. If you want to be a hit with the parents, pick something for their baby that fits with their opinions and styles. For example, a Seahawks onesie would be perfect for sports fans from Seattle, or a little superhero shirt would be great for a fan of comic books.

Next, think about the baby and what he or she would enjoy. Of course, you can’t know any particular baby’s real tastes, and babies change every day, but use common sense to pick some appropriate. Don’t buy anything that a baby can’t safely play with, which means that it must be safe enough to put in their mouth. Choose something soft and snugly to make sure that a baby will want to hold it close and touch it often. Pick something bright and colorful to get his or her attention and delight.

Finally, don’t stress about it. The most important gift that you can give to any baby in your life is the gift of time. Take some time this holiday season to spend with all the little ones that you love.

Gifts From Hong Kong With Love ( Momimhar posted on October 26th, 2016 )

Lovely gifts.

Lovely gifts.

We went over to my cousin E for a visit and have our girls play one afternoon.  It was a beautiful day.  The girls had a great day at playtime, as usual.  E told me that a package from her sister J, who is presently in Hong Kong, arrived and there are gifts for me and my daughter.  I was very surprised to receive these gifts from my cousin in Hong Kong.  Skin care for me and a pretty dress for K.  There two bars of chocolates, too.

Thank you, E.  Also, thank you, J for the gifts.  You’re so sweet.

School Supplies Shopping For Back-to-School ( Momimhar posted on August 20th, 2016 )

Gee.  I missed the tax-free weekend shopping this month.  Me and my family went to a week-long vacation out of state.  We went to Arkansas Diamond Mine State Park in Murfreesboro and to Wegner Crystal Mine in Mount Ida.  They have been in our bucket list so we were glad we were able to go and visit these beautiful sites.  Then we headed to Beaver’s Bend State Park in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.  For us, vacation is always about adventure, enjoyment, family fun, and relaxation.  Experiencing the places we visit and making great memories are life’s treasures.

Oh, you know what?  My darling daughter has reached another milestone.  She is going to Kindergarten this year.  I am in a sentimental mode right now.  I am a stay-at-home mom and I will be missing her during the day when she’s in school.  When my husband and I first brought up the idea of schooling to our daughter K, she said she doesn’t want to go to school because she will miss me.  And if I will drop her off to school, she wants me to wait for her at the school’s parking lot. 🙂 But when we attended the Back-to School Bash event last Saturday and Meet the Teacher Day Thursday, my darling daughter somehow began to show excitement.

Even though I missed the tax-free weekend, I still had great deals on school supplies for back-to-school.  One of the stores I like shopping for school supplies is Walmart.  They have great prices on notebooks, pencils, crayons, glue, binders…and others.  I finished the school supplies shopping today because I don’t have a plan to drive anywhere tomorrow.  I am going to relax, enjoy the last day of sleeping late tomorrow.  Because on Monday, our lives are gonna change so much – on the first day of school.

I am happy that we are in a school district where standardized school clothing are implemented.  I do not have to worry about buying new clothes for K.  With standardized school clothes, my laundry will be reduced to about 20% every week, I think.

I bought five assorted solid-colored polo shirts from OshKosh.com for $5.00 per shirt.  The two navy skirts were bought from Walmart for $8.98 each I believe.  I got two excellent condition khaki pants, one khaki dress, and one navy dress for free from the Back-to-School Bash outgrown uniform donation.  A pair of black Mary Jane school shoes were bought today from Payless Shoe Store for $14.99. Oh, I almost forgot the Shopkins backpack was $15.98 and Peppa Pig lunch bag $8.00 are from Target.

Great Deal On Toddler Girl Shirts At Walmart ( Momimhar posted on August 19th, 2015 )

Toddler shirts.

Toddler shirts.

My daughter and I went to Walmart to buy some fruits and vegetables.  But before that, we did some window shopping and looked at toys. We talked before going to the store that we are not buying any toy.  I was happy that she didn’t give me a hard time in the kids’ toys area.

After the trip to the toys area, we head to the kids clothes department.  I saw these two cute toddler shirts from Garanimals.  They were $1.00 each so I grabbed and bought them.  I think they’re in good deal.  I love shopping for kids’ clothes especially girls’ clothes.

Head out to your nearest Walmart stores and check out for deals.

Shopping For New Toys ( Momimhar posted on July 15th, 2014 )

I took my darling daughter to the toy store because she has been bugging me about when we’re gonna go there. Good thing I received a $30 gift card as a compensation from a survey that I participated in last month. Well, even if I didn’t have the gift card, I would still take DD to the toy store.

When we entered the store, there’s a table by the door with toys on display. They were battery-operated fish of different kinds and colors. They’re called Lil’ Fishys motorized pets. DD got fascinated with it and she wanted to get one. The price was like $10. Whew! I bought it anyway. After all, she had some shopping money. Aside from the Lil’ Fishys, we also bought a chunky wooden puzzle from Melissa & Doug and a t-shirt with pink tiger face on it.

DD was happy with her items. As soon as we got home my little girl wanted to play in her pink pool. She wanted to let the Lil’ Fishy swim. She was very delighted to see how it swims in the water. “It’s gonna be my favorite toy,” she said.

I also noticed that the store have some infant Halloween outfits out on display already. Isn’t it too early?
