My youngest sister’s graduation in college.

Congratulations to my youngest sister.  She graduated from college a couple of months ago.  Graduating from college is the biggest accomplishment for my sister so far.  It’s unbelievable how the years flew by so fast.  Seemed like she just enrolled in first year college last year.  Now she already have her diploma in Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  We are very proud of my sister D.

Few weeks after her graduation day, the packages I shipped has been delivered at my parents’.  Inside the packages were Christmas presents, clothing, kids’ shoes, body and bath essentials, personal care items, and graduation gifts (for my sister).  My niece and nephews were anxiously waiting for them to arrive.  I was glad that the packages were delivered without issues.

On the other hand, my sister sent me a text message letting me know that they already got the presents and stuff and she thanked me for the cute  maxi dress we gave her.  It’s one of the graduation gifts we sent her.  To match the dress, she also received a pair of sandals.

My sister was very happy with her presents.  My niece and nephews were too.  They got to open their belated Christmas presents in June.  🙂

The Kids Are Growing Fast ( Momimhar posted on April 14th, 2012 )

It was really nice to hear my niece and nephews’ voices.  I  can tell they have grown so much by the tone of their voice.  My niece said she was done getting her clearance signed by the school officials and she is ready to be enrolled in the 8th Grade (Second Year high school) this coming school year.  Woah!  That was fast.  I mean, she is a teenager now.  I feel so proud seeing her in a high school uniform.

My nephew (niece’s baby brother), finished the Third Grade with the recognition of being the Most Neat and Clean in class.  Well, he’s a good-looking little boy.  My sister takes care of him and my niece too.  The siblings helps my other nephew also.  Because he is getting interested in going to school, they teach him ABCs and 123.  He is  doing good in writing his name as well as reading the alphabet and numbers.

I told the kids that I have shipped the package (Balikbayan Box full of gifts) already.  It was delayed for half a year :).  What matters most is that I still sent the package and I want them to receive belated Christmas gifts.  They are very excited as usual.

I feel a little sad because I will not be able to ship my package on time to my family back home.  The package supposedly has to be sent in October but I was very busy with organizing my younger sister’s special event.  Then the holiday season is on and there is not enough time or no extra time for the package.  My niece and nephew are expecting gifts from us this Christmas.  And all of them are in the package.  So frustrating.

Few weeks ago I talked to my mother asking her to tell the kids that the package will be delayed.  They will receive it early next  year.  What I was thinking is that, I might send them some money to shop for Christmas outfits and gifts.  Aw, I wish the package delivery time is quick during the Christmas season.  But some shipping companies have a 45 to 60 days delivery time.
