A Blessed Happy New Year To You – It’s 2017 ( Momimhar posted on January 1st, 2017 )

Fireworks at our place. K and guests.

We had a blast celebrating New Year’s at our humble home.  Two of my dear husband’s co-employees and their families came over to celebrate with us.  They bought fireworks and we had fun shooting fireworks in a cold New Year’s Eve. The kids had fun dancing with Just Dance on Wii U. We’re supposed to do Just Sing Karaoke too, but for some reason the CD didn’t play.

It was a great New Year’s celebration.  We missed a few family and friends but they were sick and my brother-in-law and his wife already had a commitment ahead of time.

Happy New Year to you!  Wishing you all the best of 2017.

Celebrating Life’s Blessings And All The Luck In The World – Happy New Year 2016 ( Momimhar posted on January 1st, 2016 )

Happy New Year 2016!  Would you believe it?  We are in the year 2016.  Oh my!  How was your Holidays?  Did you have all the fun in the world? We did.  My family and I spent Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day with my husband’s family in Tyler.  We had a wonderful time especially that his nephew, who is in the Navy, came home for Christmas.  Everyone was happy to see him most especially his parents.

The kids enjoyed lighting the sparklers.

On New Year’s Eve, we stayed home because we want to be home when the new year comes.  As usual, we shoot fireworks.  That was the most fun part of celebrating the New Year’s.  In addition, we invited my hubby’s brother together with his wife.  Dear hubby also invited some of his colleagues.  It was nice that they came and celebrated with us on New Year’s Eve.

It was a very big celebration on New Year’s Eve.  Maybe you have heard in the news that North Dallas was hit by a few tornadoes on Saturday, December 26, 2015.  Let me tell ya, our neighborhood was half mile away from Downtown Copeville where a tornado touchdown and demolished a bunch of homes and a gas station.  The strong tornado just passed by us, shook our house but didn’t do any major damage.  Just a few shingles on the roof flipped over that’s it.  Were very lucky.  I saw how big the hurricane was and how it sounded like.  I will never forget it in my life.

New Year, new life.  We celebrated all the blessings in 2015 and all the luck in the world.  I am hoping that no more calamities and bad things.  May God bless us all.

It Was A Fun New Year’s Celebration For The Three Of Us ( Momimhar posted on January 6th, 2014 )

Happy New Year’s to everyone!  I hope y’all had a wonderful and safe celebration welcoming the new year 2014.

As for me, we had a great celebration.  My dear husband made some Mexican soup and bought some fireworks to shoot on New Year’s Eve.  Despite of the cold temperature, we shoot fireworks.  My darling daughter was very excited about shooting fireworks.  She didn’t like the loud ones though.  We lit a few sparklers and we had fun.  Her daddy was keeping an eye on her and and we were supervising the activity very well for everybody’s safety.

New Year Celebration Tradition ( Momimhar posted on December 31st, 2009 )

Happy new year! Greetings from me and the bright bundles.I called home and my mother said she’s making spaghetti and bangus (milkfish) escabeche for New Year’s Eve dinner. Oh boy! I missed that home-made spaghetti. Anyway, two of my siblings are with their families to celebrate the welcoming of year 2010. My father said he does not have fireworks or firecrackers because it is sprinkling and he thought it might going to rain. Well, it does not matter. They will make some noise to welcome year 2010. That’s for sure.

Another option is to do banging of pots and pans, shaking coins in tin cans, or blowing horns (like we usually do). What matters most is, the tradition of the New Year celebration will never be forgotten as it brings love, happiness, and goodwill to everyone.
