Figurines for Any Occasion

For easy browsing, if you are searching for a particular tiny sculpture to give as a gift, figurines are conveniently separated into categories according to occasion. Wedding and anniversary, friendship and family are some just some of the groups along with nativity and love. In the wedding and anniversary section, for example, you’ll find beautiful characters in a couple slow dancing, sitting together and expressing their love for each other through a simple touch of their hands. The love category includes more couples expressing their devotion to each other as well as a mother holding her newborn and a granddaughter lovingly embracing her grandmother.

Figurines for Decorating

Thanks to their poetic demeanor, you may very well end up purchasing an occasion figurine for your home along with others to give as gifts, but remember, there’s more sections to browse. Divided by figurine type, search through the floral, angels and baby categories. The floral sub-category consists of girls, women and angels posing with different flower bouquets, and the baby division includes babies alone and with their parents. Possibly the most popular and extensive figurines are the angels. The angels are posed by themselves in celebration, hopefulness and gratitude, and they are also posed with newborns that articulate friendship, comfort and affection.

Figurines for Expression

Figurines double as beautiful gifts and decorative pieces. Additionally, they’re wonderful for expression. In the expressions category, you will find a myriad of characters in a myriad of poses. Spirited, joyful and thoughtful children sit, kneel and embrace their legs while young women and men express knowledge, heroism and giving. A toddler boldly stands radiating hope while another beams happiness. For the birthday girl or boy, birthday figurines are available and to celebrate the new year, there is a woman statuette holding the year as an ornament.

Figurines are the kinds of gifts and decorative pieces that are perfect for expressing a particular emotion and because of this, they are meaningful.

Celebrating Life’s Blessings And All The Luck In The World – Happy New Year 2016 ( Momimhar posted on January 1st, 2016 )

Happy New Year 2016!  Would you believe it?  We are in the year 2016.  Oh my!  How was your Holidays?  Did you have all the fun in the world? We did.  My family and I spent Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day with my husband’s family in Tyler.  We had a wonderful time especially that his nephew, who is in the Navy, came home for Christmas.  Everyone was happy to see him most especially his parents.

The kids enjoyed lighting the sparklers.

On New Year’s Eve, we stayed home because we want to be home when the new year comes.  As usual, we shoot fireworks.  That was the most fun part of celebrating the New Year’s.  In addition, we invited my hubby’s brother together with his wife.  Dear hubby also invited some of his colleagues.  It was nice that they came and celebrated with us on New Year’s Eve.

It was a very big celebration on New Year’s Eve.  Maybe you have heard in the news that North Dallas was hit by a few tornadoes on Saturday, December 26, 2015.  Let me tell ya, our neighborhood was half mile away from Downtown Copeville where a tornado touchdown and demolished a bunch of homes and a gas station.  The strong tornado just passed by us, shook our house but didn’t do any major damage.  Just a few shingles on the roof flipped over that’s it.  Were very lucky.  I saw how big the hurricane was and how it sounded like.  I will never forget it in my life.

New Year, new life.  We celebrated all the blessings in 2015 and all the luck in the world.  I am hoping that no more calamities and bad things.  May God bless us all.

Working On Writing K’s Christmas List ( Momimhar posted on November 7th, 2015 )

K:  “We have to start writing my Christmas List, Mom.”

This was K told me while I was eating my supper last night.  She was watching Peppa Pig on television around 8:00 P.M. last night and a commercial of some children’s toys showed up which reminded her of the ones she wants for Christmas.  I like watching some kids’ shows and cartoons but what I dislike is too much commercials about toys and nonsense things.

K, who is turning 5 in the next few weeks, is actually interested more on her Christmas Wishlist than what she wants for her birthday.  In fact, she only wanted to go to Kid Mania in Plano.  It is a big play area and arcade games for kids.  The very first time we were there was on a birthday of one of my girl friend’s daughter two years ago.  K wants to go back there.  Okay, so I have to call Kid Mania about their party reservation and stuff.

Anyway, now K has a few things listed in her Christmas List.  I told her that there is no assurance that she will get all of them because Santa will consider what she wishes for the most.

How about your kid/kids?  Have they started writing down their Christmas Wishlists?

Labor Day Weekend Pool Party ( Momimhar posted on September 7th, 2015 )

Playing volleyball in the pool.

Playing volleyball in the pool.

Yay for September!  Is summer over yet?  Nope.  It’s still in the 90s here in Texas.  Today was 97 F the highest here in Lavon.

It’s Labor Day.  One of the official holidays here in the USA.  Me and my family are just hanging out at home.  Three-day weekend, baby!  While my dear husband is grilling some chicken, pork, and sausages, I am relaxing on the couch while our darling daughter was busy playing with her My Little Pony characters.  That’s what we love on a summer holiday-barbecue.

I don’t feel like doing much today.  I am tired from the long drive last night.  My friend invited us to her husband’s birthday party in Fort Worth yesterday.  It was a double celebration, actually.  Labor Day and birthday party.  Most of our friends were there.  I met new ones, too.  It was nice because I met a girl from a neighboring town from mine in the island where I came from (Leyte, Philippines).  What a small world indeed.  Anyway, we had so much fun playing volleyball in the swimming pool.  My daughter and I arrived at my friend’s house around 1:00 P.M. I still had the time to make some spaghetti.

The party was well-organized and we had lots of fun.  My darling daughter enjoyed swimming with her little friend Toby.  And she met a new friend too named Beverly.  Tip:  If you are attending a pool party and you are bringing kids with you, be sure you have life jackets or life preservers ready.  And a sunscreen lotion or spray should be handy as well.

My daughter and I got home close to midnight last night.  So I am still tired, and sleepy.  Have a wonderful Labor Day, everyone!  Enjoy!
