Setting Up The Pool ( Momimhar posted on April 7th, 2016 )

pool

As warm weather approaches, you might begin to think about ways to keep the kids busy when they’re out of school or ways for the family to spend time together. A pool is the ideal type of entertainment, and you can often find pools that are easy to install and set up in the yard. If you’re looking for ways to save money, then consider wholesale pool pumps and filters. These are sometimes sold in multiples, so it’s best to find someone else who is going to set up a pool so that you can get the best deal possible by splitting the cost of the supplies.

Before you set up a pool, you need to find out if there are any limitations on the size, especially if you live in the city. Your local zoning office can give you the details that you need when it comes to where you can put your pool and if you need to stay within any restraints when it comes to the size or design.

Think about the depth of the pool. Your filter and pump will usually work depending on the amount of water that is in the pool, so if you find something that is a larger size, then your equipment might work overtime compared to getting something a little smaller. You also need to think about children and the depth of the water that will be safe for them.

Find a proper location in the yard for the pool. Make sure it’s flat, and place a plastic tarp under the pool so that there aren’t any sticks of debris that could puncture the lining. An idea is to clear off the area and add sand before placing the tarp. Avoid putting the pool under a tree as you don’t want leaves in the water. When the pool is in place, you can begin filling it with water. After the pool is filled with water, add all of the chemicals that are needed. You can also take this time to add any decorative details as well as the ladder and pump. All of this needs to be in place about 24 to 48 hours before you begin swimming in the water.

Create A Satisfying Meal That Your Family Would Enjoy #OreIDaTotchos #Review ( Momimhar posted on January 25th, 2016 )

To be honest, I didn’t like tater tots.  It’s like hush browns. I tried eating hush browns few years back but it didn’t impress me.  My husband said it’s like tater tots.  So they were never my favorite.  Well I guess I didn’t give myself a chance to create meals with tater tots.  Their shredded potatoes made into small chunks packed in a bag and frozen.  Actually, I just discovered that there are recipes you can try cooking with tater tots.

This time I did my own recipe called Easy Tidbits Totchos Soup.  You can check it out here.  I use Ore-Ida Tater Tots as key ingredient for my soup recipe.

Ore-Ida Tater Tots

Ore-Ida Tater Tots

Made with 100% real potatoes, Ore-Ida Tots are crunchy when baked and tastes fine in a soup.  Although they are made in perfect bite size pieces, I like them crumbled into tidbits in my soup.  Like me, my darling daughter wasn’t a fan of tater tots as well, but when she tried them with the soup, she said it’s yummy.

I just realize that to make a delicious meal with Ore-Ida Tots, you have to be associate your favorite ingredients with it to be able to create a satisfying meal that your family would enjoy.  So Tater Tots are not a boring frozen potatoes after all.

Easy Tidbits Totchos Soup Recipe Featuring Ore-Ida Totchos #OreIdaTotchos #Contest ( Momimhar posted on January 24th, 2016 )

After three weeks of planning, I finally created a soup recipe.  Yes I am very proud about this. *wink*  Well, you know, I don’t cook a lot.  I get a lot of help from my dear husband when it comes to cooking for the family.  But I am not giving up learning because it is one of my responsibilities as a wife and mom.

With the help of the Internet, we can easily find recipe inspirations to follow.  Especially if you are like me who doesn’t like complicated recipes with so many ingredients.  Do you have a favorite recipe website?  I don’t have one yet but I am getting there.  For now, the recipe inspiration for my soup recipe was from Kraft Recipes Totchos Hub . Using Ore-Ida Tater Tots as key ingredients in my soup recipe, I say this is a very good tasting soup that can be prepared in every day meal and great to warm you up during the cold winter days.  I call it Easy Tidbits Totchos Soup.  This is the very first time I am trying the Ore-Ida Tater Tots really.  I’m glad that I was given the opportunity try it together with the other free products in the #JingleVoxBox I received from #Influenster.  And as a part of the #OreIdaTotchos movement, I am sharing with you my simple recipe.

Directions:

  • In a medium-sized soup pot, heat olive oil and saute garlic until fragrant.
  • Add carrots and saute for two minutes.
  • Add water and bring to a boil.
  • Add the evaporated milk. Wait for it to boil again.  Milk boils quickly and can overflow so watch out.
  • Add the Ore-Ida Tater Tots, then salt and pepper to taste.
  • Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir and adjust the taste according to your preference. (I discovered that I like the Ore-Ida Tater Tots broken into tidbits in the soup.)
  • Remove from heat.  Serve hot. Garnish with bacon and green onions.
  • Enjoy.

The soup came out really good. It smells good as well.  I suggest to add minimal salt because the bacon is already salty.

Tips To Create Delightfully Decorated Cakes ( Momimhar posted on December 6th, 2015 )

a-wedding cake2

Cake decorating is a rewarding hobby or full-time job. The cake decorator’s results and proficiency are easy to see. The right decorating supplies, along with the decorator’s techniques or finishing touches, make the difference. Adding roses, fondant accents, and borders to the cake takes a delicious confection to the next level.

The art of cake decorating and cake design have become more popular as millions of TV viewers watch master bakers and designers perform. Cake buyers want special design and customization when they order birthday or celebration cakes. Home bakers can also learn cake decorating to delight family and friends. Cake decorating supplies in Michigan are essential to novices and expert cake decorators.

Use the following tips to create delightfully decorated cakes:

Tip #1: Buy and use spatulas. Spatulas are a must when preparing a perfect cake for decoration. Cake crumbs on the surface can ruin the appearance of the most perfectly smooth icing.

Remove the cooled baked cake from the pan using a small spatula. Brush crumbs from the top. Add four tablespoons of corn syrup for a layer or larger cake to thin the icing. To ice or frost the cake, use the icing spatula to quickly spread the icing. Do not press the icing into the cake to avoid any crumbs.

Tip #2: Make swirls. Creating swirls adds a simple but fancy appearance to the cake. Hold an icing-filled decorating bag with desired tip at a 90 degree angle about 1/4th inch from the cake surface. Start at the outer rim of the cake and work in an inward direction. To add visual interest, pipe a second spiral on top of the first.

Tip #3: Write on the cake. Adding a name or phrase to the iced cake adds a speech touch. Fill the decorating bag about half full with thin icing. Select and attach the decorating tip. Don’t point the tip down towards the cake: elevate it a bit and use steady pressure to create a steady line.

Allow the decorative icing to drop onto the iced surface and then pull the tip away. Before writing another word, check the decorating tip and clean it to ensure best results.

Conclusion

Cake decorating is a fun and enjoyable way to make celebrations even more special. Consider taking a cake decorating class to more quickly master the art of cake decoration.
