Summer Fun Activity: Swimming Lessons ( Momimhar posted on July 9th, 2017 )

Open swim at YMCA

Speaking of swimming, we registered darling daughter in a swimming class at YMCA.  It was a 30-minute swimming lesson for eight days with open swim for parent and student after each lesson.  Because K cannot swim five feet distance in a 5-foot deep water, she is a beginner which makes her join Level 1-Water Acclimation.

My darling K is enjoying her swimming classes so far. Her swimming instructor seemed to be competent.  Swimming instructors at YMCA handles at least two to maximum of four students per class.  K wants to continue and in two weeks, she will be in Level 2-Water Movement.  Hopefully she will become more confident in the water so she will learn a lot in the next level.  I need to buy her swimming cap and goggles next weekend.

Speakers For Music Lovers ( Momimhar posted on May 6th, 2017 )

My dad enjoys listening to music. In fact, he has a collection of cassette tapes of his favorite songs and song hots magazine. He also plays the guitar. I wish I had the skill and the enthusiasm to learn a musical instrument-a guitar at least. Only my brother has been able to learn to play a guitar patiently.  I think he was a self-learner.

In addition to my dad’s liking with music, he made a speaker box.  We didn’t have the money to buy an entertainment center so he improvised stuff. He made a speaker box from spare plank wood and installed wgs speakers in them. The rest was about electronics.  The sound was awesome.  It was like we have our own entertainment center at home. 🙂

Guest Reader Today ( Momimhar posted on February 28th, 2017 )

I was a guest reader in K’s class yesterday.

In participation with the Read Across America Campaign week, K’s school PTO asked parents if we’re able to come to the school and read to the students or listen to them read.  I came to her school yesterday and read a book to two First Grader students and to K’s class.

It was a great feeling to be able to share a little time reading to the children and see them interact and share their reactions about the story I read to them.
