DD (in green shirt) and friend singing Let It Go from Disney’s Frozen.
The Disney movie Frozen was a hit and children have been very fascinated with its characters – Princess Elsa, Princess Anna, Olaf the snowman, and Kristoff. My little girl loves the two princesses. She even wanted to have the dress up gowns. How I wish I can buy her the gowns for dress up. Right now they are still kind of pricey. But I am keeping my eyes open for good deals.
Yesterday, we visited my friend F. It’s the regular play date for our kids. I didn’t know that my friend prepared a big lunch for everybody because besides me and darling daughter, our two other girl friends came over. In addition, I was also meeting someone at her house to discuss an employment opportunity for me. That person happens to be my friend’s new friend. 🙂
Anyway, our kids enjoyed playing at their outdoor playground set. When it got very hot outside, they ran into the house and sang karaoke. It was nice that F and her husband have a karaoke system with songs downloaded in it. They have Disney’s Frozen soundtrack downloaded in the system. Man, the girls were like having a concert yesterday. 🙂
Our little girls enjoying being outdoors and with friends.
“Children learn best through their everyday experiences with the people they love and trust, and when the learning is fun. And the best place for these experiences is outdoors, in the natural world.” – Center for Families, Communities, Schools and Children’s Learning.
Your sister is the first female friend you will have in your life. Nobody will ever be able to understand your craziness like your sister. And although you don’t see each other as much as you would like, she will always remain your friend and be there for you whenever you need her the most. While people will come and go in your life, your sister will be in your heart for a lifetime.
I found this quote from someone on Facebook. I shared it on my profile and sharing it here as well. Yes, our sisters are our best friends. So love your sisters like you love your parents.
I miss my siblings, I love them so much.
My cousin and I have been attending Christmas parties since the month December came. Last night, we went to see our friends in Benbrook (Texas) for a Christmas party hosted by one of our girl friends who recently bought a new house. And this is the very first time we came to see her and her husband in their new place.
I didn’t expect my friend’s house would be a two storey house because when I looked around, the neighboring houses didn’t look like that. Their house is beautiful. It’s all carpeted in the second floor. The got a good deal with that house. Though she told me that there are a few things she wanted to change and replace. As you know, my friend is very particular when it comes to home improvement. She wants everything to be perfect. What she and her husband do is look at satisfactory reviews on services. And BuildDirect reviews got them interested. Good reviews from customers always have a big impact on businesses to gain more clients. It’s really neat that Facebook can be a tool to find businesses and service providers Build Direct. Of course, we can find them there too http://www.facebook.com/builddirect. So we just talked about just about anything. From food to home improvement. Hahaha!
Like I mentioned, only me and cousin came to the party. Our husbands and kids didn’t go with us because;
1. my hubby’s not feeling well
2. the weather’s not pleasant to drive because it’s raining and super foggy. Plus, sudden temperature drop that it’s too cold for the kids to be traveling.
It was nice seeing everyone at the party. We had lots of fun especially at the gifts exchange ‘white elephant’ style. 🙂
Gifts exchange time. 🙂
Driving wasn’t that much of a hassle except getting into some foggy areas along the way. We arrived to our destination and got home safe and sound despite of the heavy fog.
Visited ninang and ninong today. After the 4th of July, we haven’t got together with my DD’s godmother and her family. Today we got the chance to schedule a visit with them. Our couple friend prepared lunch for us. They were happy to see the little one, of course.
In Philippine tradition, godparents serve as the second parents of a child. They give guidance, help, and advice to the child when he or she needs it. They treat the godchild as their own, too.
What excites DD the most was to see their pets. Her godparents have three poodle dogs. The little had a great time chasing and playing with them. She even told us that she wants a dog. Oh my! I don’t think we can afford to have a pet right now. We only have one child but our house is a mess! Hahaha! Sometimes I cannot keep up with the chores. Being a full time wife and stay-at-home mom really needs time and effective organization. That’s why I don’t hesitate asking for advice especially when I need it.
Today, was total fun with our friends. We had good and funny conversations that made our day. It’s great to visit friends once in a while. It keeps the bond of friendship strong. Plus, DD gets lots of treats too. 🙂
Filipino words ninang and ninong are godmother and godfather in English.
