One Wednesday evening few weeks ago my darling daughter and I went to get on the amusement rides set up in the parking lot of the Baptist Church in town. I told my dear husband about it and he said we can go in the evening because it’s very hot in the afternoon. He’s right. The temperature in Texas is in the 90’s now. I saw a forecast that it will start to reach three digits in the next coming weeks.
So just me and DD we went to this amusement rides. It was 8:00 in the evening when we got there and it was still bright. Kids were all around (school is out for summer break in June in the US). So kids and their families were out to join the fun. Screams of thrill and excitement all over the place. DD was very glad of what she was seeing and excited to ride. The very first thing we rode on was the Helicopter ride. It would have been the Roundabout but it was already moving when we got in line.
Amusement parks and rides are great to visit with the whole family this summer. We tried these rides and activity that evening:
Actually, I forgot what this was called. I just made one up because as soon as the little ones got on there and the thing started moving, they began pushing those horns. 🙂
Monkey Maze – DD and I also tried the Monkey Maze. Boy, she had so much fun in that. The maze was set up going up and at the end of the maze, we had to slide. That’s what she liked so much! We didn’t have a photo because I had to go in the maze with DD. It was shown in every kids’ ride and activity that children below 42″ tall has to be accompanied by an adult.
The Twister – Again, I just made up this name for that type of ride where we were buckled inside a round thing almost look like a coffee cup. It was spinning in its place as the whole ride thing did. It made me very dizzy. I was screaming while DD was laughing. That was the last ride for the night.
Availing the rides and activities required a ticket. It’s $1/ticket but for $20 you’ll get 24 tickets. I spent almost $100 for the tickets because I also had to go with DD. Some rides or activities required 3-4 tickets per person. DD and I rode more than once. But we had so much fun. My darling daughter enjoyed it a lot.
