It’s been a while since I attended a baby shower party. The last time I went to one was for one of my girl friends in November last year before my family and I went to a long vacation. I was invited to this party by one of my newly met friend. Her friend’s step-daughter is having a baby and it’s a girl.
At the party I was able to see my other friends whom I seldom see. Like me, they are busy mothers. One of them just got a job-hired as a receptionist in a hotel in Dallas. I feel a little jealousy here. I should be going back to work soon, you know. But my dear husband is not allowing it yet. To tell you the truth, I am getting impatient. But there’s a reason why. I have to stay home and be a full time mom and wife until my little girl goes to school. I don’t feel bad about it. It’s just that, I feel left behind. You know what I mean?
Well, everyone had a great time at the baby shower party. Lots of good food. Guests had a great time talking and catching up. Picture-taking here and there. So much fun! The mom-to-be was very happy that her stepmother hosted a big party for her and the upcoming baby. My gifts for her are baby wipes, rattle and teether, and a onesie clothing for the cold months ahead.
As the party progresses, me and the ladies joined a guessing game. We have to guess what kind of baby food is in each jar. Man, I got nothing right! Well, the answers had to be specific. How do I know what food combinations are there. I just wrote down the main and the first flavor I tasted. Oh well… 🙂
I didn’t stay very long at the party because I had to go home before the clock struck 7 P.M. I had a great time though.
