A Pregnancy Guide That Helps ( Momimhar posted on November 15th, 2012 )

When I was done editing the new set of pictures to be sent to my family thru email, I looked at infant photos of my darling daughter.  It really touched my heart seeing her newborn and infant photos where I captured every milestones.

I also looked at my photos when I was pregnant.  The first trimester was not that hard for me.  I did not get morning sickness like some pregnant women get all the time.  Well, maybe I had nausea for a day or two but that was it.  Besides doctor’s advice and recommendations plus family and friends’ inspiring help, I had What To Expect When You’re Expecting book – a pregnancy guide book that helps expectant mothers along pregnancy.  This book has helpful guides in every chapter as what pregnant women have to deal with during pregnancy.

Pregnancy is a delicate situation.  And expectant mothers have to take care of themselves.  The book also have suggestions on how to maintain a healthy pregnancy.  I had complications when I was pregnant.  Reading the pregnancy guide book has helped me understand how a woman’s body goes thru a lot of changes during pregnancy.  And these changes sometimes lead to complications and depression.  To me, a well-guided pregnancy and strong support system (family and friends) can prevent depression.  What To Expect When You’re Expecting is a book that I highly recommend as reading material to expectant mothers out there.  And that includes my sister-in-law, Jennifer. 🙂

Oh how time flies by so fast.  My daughter is turning two.  My newborn is now a toddler and growing fast and smart.  So proud of her.

I didn’t really use any pregnancy guide per se but I read a lot of online articles about pregnancy.

I watched this movie at it was great! I never read the book yet but it’s available on an e-book so I will try downloading and reading it when I have the time 🙂

  4. Healthy pregnancy is very important in order to have a healthy baby. I had a rough one with my second pregnancy due to abnormality in my blood but glad that my son was healthy when he was born til now.

Being pregnat is not really simple it has a lot of complications, and giving birth is more dangerous because when a woman give birth her one feet is buried in the ground.

When I was pregnant, I also bought a pregnancy book. The explanation on what is occurring in the womb step by step and the guidelines on planning for the baby’s arrival were of big help for first time Moms like me.

Great tips! I will try to do that if ever I get pregnant again. I am now old and single but still wishing one day I get to be pregnant again and do all this girlish mommyish preggy mom stuff.

very informative post…I had complications when I was pregnant too…I guess that’s what causes why my daughter was born premature.

Aww, looking at old photos especially those of the little ones never fail to make me feel nostalgic every time too. I just don’t see myself getting pregnant again, though. Both of my girls are now grown ups and I just couldn’t imagine myself going through all those pregnancy woes yet again. 😀

I would like to feel all of this again, the feeling of being pregnant..but i definitely do not want to undergo that tragic pregnancy experience i faced back then though. I just hope one day i can become a mother.

  16. Isn’t it nice now a days when we have the tools to help us through our pregnancy stage. When I was pregnant for the first time, and being away from my mama and no one else to talk to about pregnancy, babies and all, it was nice I had some reading materials and a OBGYN to talk to about some concerns and some questions. Somehow I thought I won’t manage it, but here I am a mama to two wonderful kids. 🙂 Pregnancy sure brings a whole lot of changes.

  17. That book is really helpful to expectant mothers, most especially those first-time mommies.

Our daughter’s infant photos really make us teary-eyed. =)
