As a first time mom, I am still adjusting in the lifestyle of having a child.  I am used to go out with friends most of the time.  But now that I am married and have a baby, everything has changed.  I am already a full-time housewife and mother.  My duties and responsibilities as a wife and mom are very important to be able to keep a harmonious relationship in the home.

One of the responsibility of a mom like me is to prepare meals for the family.  My husband knows I am not a good cook.  He helps me in the kitchen sometimes and I appreciate that very much.  I cook toddler meals twice a week.  Our daughter eats what we eat so I don’t buy toddler foods from the grocery store more often.

Menudo and rice

One of my favorite Filipino food is Menudo.  It is pork with potatoes, carrots, bell pepper, and green peas.  My daughter liked it very much because of the green peas.

Eating vegetables is very essential to kids’ health.  As early as toddler age, we parents should encourage our children to eat healthy foods like vegetables, meat, and fruits.  Remember that they look up to us so we should show our kids how we value the healthy eating habit.
