Mother’s Day Gift Ideas ( Momimhar posted on May 1st, 2012 )

What are you going to give to your loving mothers on Mother’s Day?  Here are some ideas you can choose from:

1.  Treat her to a Spa

2.  Give her gift cards to her favorite stores

3.  Jewelry sets

4.  New kitchen electrics

5.  New home accents

6.  Craft supplies

7.  Beauty and health essentials

8.  A short trip or vacation

9.  Lunch or dinner treat

10.  Women’s clothes and accessories

Whatever we give or do for our mothers, it is very important that we give it with compassion and understanding.  Mothers are wonderful people in the world.  Their love is unconditional since they carried us in their wombs. I salute the responsible mothers who make effort to bring up their kids with dignity and hard work.

A mother is the light of the home.  She is the one who assists the father to keep the family live in love and harmony.  Now  that I am a mom, I understand the hardships and struggles my mother experienced.  My mother and father taught us good family values that I want to pass on to my own child.  I believe that with strong foundation and patience, my husband and I will be successful in our endeavor as parents.

Well, hopefully my husband won’t forget that Mother’s Day is on Sunday. 🙂

She’s A Singer Like Mommy ( Momimhar posted on May 1st, 2012 )

My little princess likes to sing.

Playtime is healthy and very important for growing babies.  In this picture, my little girl is trying to sing along with the children songs played on DVD.  I found it cute because she was trying really hard to pronounce the words.  She had fun singing and playing with the microphone.  Her daddy said she’s a singer like mommy. 🙂

Babies and kids’ exposure to music is highly essential to their development.  Parents play a big role in contributing to this developmental factor.  As early as a pregnancy, expectant mothers are advised to read and sing to their babies.   A baby’s sense of hearing develops much before being born.  While inside the mother’s womb, he or she can hear the mother’s lovely voice even the outside noises and sounds.  The baby’s ability to hear very well helps speech and brain development.

Interaction like reading, talking, and playing together can help our kids’ learning to be fun and easy.  My little girl’s favorite indoor activities when we are playing are singing, sorting, stacking, and chasing each other.  She laughs hard whenever I catch her.  We sing “Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone?”, “Eensy Weensy Spider”, “Six Little Ducks”, and song from The Fresh Beat Band.

My Sister Likes To Read Thrilling Fantasy Stories ( Momimhar posted on May 1st, 2012 )

My sister once asked me if I could buy her story books here.  I am glad to say that I did and sent them together with some educational books related to her course.

Tears of a Dragon

She likes reading action-fantasy books like Tears of a Dragon.  I got interested with action-fantasy stories too.  The book is thrilling to read and makes you feel you are in the story.  What’s cool is the book is available for download on iPad.  These type is called audiobooks.  Besides owning the book itself, we can also have a copy loaded in our iPads.

My sister enjoys reading her story books.  Hopefully I can get her an iPad so she can download other available audiobooks.
