In-Charge With Niece And Nephew ( Momimhar posted on July 26th, 2009 )

My mother is busy as usual.  She takes care of the household and everybody in the home.  In addition to this, she is assigned to bring and fetch my niece and nephew to and from school.  Since my younger sister is on vascular disease therapy/treatment, my mother will be in-charge of this task.

With regards to my sisters treatment, she is taking her medication and she is starting to feel better.  That is good.

The Medication Is Taking Effect ( Momimhar posted on July 24th, 2009 )

The status of my sisters vascular illness is now monitored by us and the doctors. She was prescribed to take a medication for a week. The prescribed medicine is taking effect. The redness of her feet is slowly fading. But still, she has difficulty in walking because of the pain. Hopefully the pain will subside and her feet will totally heal.

I am very thankful to the people who were around when my family needs the urgent help. My heart will be forever grateful to them. God has a way of answering prayers of those who are in need.

Uncommon Vascular Disease ( Momimhar posted on July 18th, 2009 )

Now here is another health concern that is bothering the family right now. After my niece’s diagnosis of UTI and is currently on medication, my sister is having this pain suddenly. Her feet are swelling and they are red. She can barely walk because it is hurting. When I called to ask what’s the doctor’s findings, my sister said it is a rare disorder. The doctor told her that she has Vasculitis-inflammation in and damage of the walls of arteries and veins. My God! How did my sister get this? I surfed the Internet and looked what is the real cause of Vasculitis. There is no known cause of Vasculitis. An excerpt from an article states that, “Each form of vasculitis has its own characteristic pattern of symptoms, much of which depends on what particular organs are affected.” I do not understand. Does it mean my sister has a weak immune system?

I am very worried. I could not sleep well because I think of her. Prayers are a big help now.  I hope she will feel better soon.  I love my sister and I am here to help her win and overcome this challenge.

Immediate Help In Medical Needs ( Momimhar posted on July 8th, 2009 )

In times of tight budget, and a member of the family gets sick, it is very difficult to find someone to turn to if you need a helping hand. You cannot ask for an immediate help from a person. So what happens is that, you will just wait until you find a way to get help…financial help. It is because there is nothing in your financial capability to take a sick member of the family to a doctor immediately. No health insurance. It makes me feel bad because we had two terrible medical situation this month. My niece had UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), and her mother (my sister) is recovering from an artery disorder. This is the bothersome moment of our lives. In addition to the situation, we do not have enough funds at this time. So visiting a private doctor surely costs us a big amount of money because of the consultation fees. It is really tough.Having a health insurance plan is very beneficial to everyone. If you choose a plan that includes doctor visits and wellness check ups coverage, I tell you, that is the best. But, “plans may pay differently”, says Schebler Staner in her article titled Health Insurance Plan Covers Doctor Office Visits. Staner also clarified that, “Plans may require co-payments, set annual limits for wellness services, or require that you meet a deductible before they pay anything.” Which is true.

I should have done this a long time ago. Do you think it is too late now to get a health insurance for my family?
